Handmade Nappy/Woollens Swap #11 ... POST DAY!

Last swap fizzled out and didn't happen, so I'm going to try and resurrect it again .... so here we go!

Welcome to the BubHub MCN Swap # 11.


Entry to the swap closes on the 22 June. After this I will go through all the participants and match everyone up - you will then receive a PM with your recipients name.
This is a secret swap of nappies/woolies made by us. If you are a WAHM you are most welcome to enter we just can't promote/discuss brand names.
This swap is for nappies and woolies only. To keep it fair for all 1 nappy = 2 covers (no boosting) = soaker/shorties . Please keep to this ... I know we all want to be generous and post more, but lets keep to this so that no feels like they have missed out.
All swaps are to be posted via Registered or Express post ONLY (so we can track them) and be posted by 10th August.
As soon as you receive your swap, please post photos in the reveal thread as everyone loves to see photos of all the gorgeous creations! If you receive a nappy by a WAHM and it has a label on it ... please just blur the label before posting a picture and please don't mention brand names.


In the past we have had people that haven't played fair ... so I am appealing to everyone's good conscious, if you don't think you can complete and post your swap in the allocated time, please don't enter otherwise your recipient will be left disappointed.

Nic, my Mum (who's been knitting for my DS longies lately, she reckons shorties would be a breeze but wants nappies for my DS for her house :laughing:) wants to know if there's a minmum post number so she can swap too :laughing:

It doesn't take long to learn to knit, not at all... I taught myself when I just couldn't learn from Mum's left handed ways... I used a book from lincraft, all the patterns were in inca. Sorry, bit off topic :D

:wave: Haha, my poor Mum is having issues with her intro... (Its MJ btw :D) This is my Mum. She's fabulous. She's been busy knitting for Phoenix and complaining to me about how she'd like a stash of nappies at her places for my wonderful DS, so I thought maybe she'd be interested in doing a swap - so far I've taken her through some of the past swaps and we've both drooled over some of the amazing work that people have done and she's surprised herself with what other people like (a pair of longies like that? And she sent a nappy for them? Really? But they're easy! :laughing: Easy for someone who's knitted forever to say!).
I have to be quick with this post, I'm so sorry for not posting photos of her past work, but I also will dig out my first christmas photo - apparently my 2 month old self is wearing a knitted soaker (and complete 80's knitted outfit too :rolleyes:).
Oh, and Mum's name is Kathy, she has 3 almost gorwn up kids (DD 20, DS1 18, DS2 16) and one wonderful (not biased) grandson, expecting the arrival of another grandchild in December. Oh, and she's a wonderful single Mummy!

Nic, sice 2 people have posted regarding them - are the knitters allowed to do longies according to the rules of this swap? Was just thinking about it, especially since its winter atm :) And I'd hope no one else would feel ripped off if someone else got a pair of longies - I'd be stoked to get one nappy for a pair of longies - if everyone else agreed? Just a thought :D

Yep, another post from me... in the spirit of keeping it as a secret swap, can everyone who requested knitteds post an inner leg measurement so if whomever is making longies they don't end up capri's... or fitting in 4 years time :p
A waist measurement would be really good too if its not too hard - I know with my little man its near impossible :laughing:

Ok ... what is best is if everyone supplies the following measurements:

rise (belly button through crotch to belly button point on the back ... iykwim) ... do this naked and over a fitted nappy if woolies were request.

waist measurement

thigh measurement (this helps if you have a fatty like my DD :D)

Inner leg measurement if you have said you'd like woolies.

If everyone would please edit their original posts and then just make a new post saying it has been updated.
