Your local health shop will probably sell it, but otherwise you can buy it online. I just did a Yahoo search in Australia 'where to buy Maca powder.

how much does everyone take?

I take about half a teaspoon in the morning and half a teaspon at night.
Directions are to take between 1/4 to 1 1/4 teaspoons twice a day with meals.
You can get it in tablet form but they are far more expensive.

Because the powder tasts so yucky (for me atleast) I jam pack empty gel capsules with the powder.

hey,
i bought the capsules (urgh silly me). It says i capsule equals 1/2 teaspoon, so i guess i'll be taking 1 tab at night and 1 in the morning??

I'm thinking of using mine in a banana smoothie in the morning. This way I'll get my calcium too. Have you tried this?

Vitex for me because macca powder isn't advised while breastfeeding.

I used it for 3 months and it didn't work for me because found out that my problem was not hormonal imbalance. It was good to try it first because I wanted to take natural stuff then when I went to Dr's found out my problem was in my brain instead and the maca powder wasn't going to help.

Good luck girls! I hope it works for everyone!

Both macca and vitex are parts of plants, and both are said to correct hormonal imbalance amoung other things.

Vitex also helps with milk supply, but macca is said to decrease milk supply and let down, also affecting the taste of the milk making breastfeeding difficult.

I googled Vitex earlier and it says not to take while bf

yeah ther are a few people who say don't take it while Bf but I did some research, spoke to a few natropaths, and the majority vote is it is actually beneficial
