I bought a Standard Weenie Wrap from ebay but can't work out how to use it! It doesn't seem to have any kind of pouch to insert a pad - it just seems to be a padded waterproof cover.

Can I just buy the pads, or fold up flannel nappies, and insert them straight into the wrap? Or do I need to buy an additional liner? (I'm new to this - haven't actually had my bub yet!!)

Their website seems to go on about 'Pouch Snibs' and things like that, too.

I'm a bit lost!! Can anyone help? I've heard these nappies are the bomb! :fingerscrossed:

Hi, I have also recently bought an eenie nappy second hand and am working it out too. Mine sounds the same as yours with a padded cover - this is the older style - the ones they sell now have a removable pouch. As far as I can tell you just insert either an eenee disposable pad or any absorbant insert into the middle elasticised part. I have tried a folded nappy - but this is really bulky. I have also tried my baby beehinds hemp booster - a couple of those seems to work well.
Does anyone else have tips on how to make a terry square fit in a weenee style nappy?

Ok i agree it sounds like you have the older style which are fine. I have these too !
I got mine with a load of inserts that the mother had made up to fit. They are just old nappies or towelling cut to fit & then she has sewn a piece of fleece on top for a liner saves time for us as i can just throw it in without fiddling ! Otherwise i just throw in a disposable pad. I dont use liners with them but you can buy disposable liners from them too which may be an idea as keeping your bubs bum as dry as possible helps keep them happier.
Like Stellasmum i also use my hemp inserts from time to time but i find that the towelling is fine & does the job really well.
Sometimes with clothies its a case of trial & error as depending on whether bubs is a boy or a girl will depend on how you need to boost your nappy & also will depend on what you need in the way of keeping bubs dry. I find because Boof is a heavy wetter i have more boosting in compared to others & sometimes you may find you have too much in causing leaks etc.
Good luck !

Alright the eenee system.

The pouch snibs you are talking about are for newborn from memory up to 4kgs. You use them with a nappy underneath but they don't velcro or anything they just tie up at the front!

The next one up is the Eenee that you have. Yes you do have to put something in it to make it absorbant. Try perhaps 2 washers folded into a rectangle. I found that to be absorbant enough (though when they poo it will go everywhere but that is that same as any nappy, disposable or cloth!;)

When you go to the next size up which is size 0-2 all you have to do is get a normal flat nappy and fold it into a rectangle then into half to act as the pad in the nappy.

Same goes for the size up from that.

The cover only needs to be changed once a day approx unless soiled.

You can buy pads to go into the nappies instead of using washers or flat nappies too. These come in very handy as they are flushable. You just need to tear the end off and empty the middle out first!

If you have any more questions just ask.

I forgot to add that the with the ones that velcro they always velcro up at the back!;)

Ahhh, think I'm getting it! Thanks ladies?

So nappy snibs are separate things altogether? I was thinking they were some kind of snappi type thing.

Any ideas on the best place to get hemp inserts?

lol yeah the terms are rather confusing sometimes aren't they!;)

Check out this site http://www.allaboutnappies.com/understanding.php You might find it useful especially for picking up the terminology.

I don't use Hemp inserts myself but I have heard good things about Cherub's Kiss inserts though she is away on maternity leave. Best bet to give Veve the moderator a PM as she is really into the hemp inserts. But otherwise if bub isn't due for quite a while try cherubs kiss.
