Hi,
I'm six weeks with bub no1 due in Feb '07.:yelclap:

I've been experiencing cramping since 4 days b4 I knew i was pregnant- similar pains to normal period pains, but sometimes worse. All over too- sometimes high and sharp, other times low and scraping or pulling. Been going on for over 2 wks now.... Is this normal?:fingerscrossed:

At night it can be a bit scary and everyone seems to bluff it off when i ask.
Please help.:(

Hi Hails....When I was first pregnant I was constantly waiting for my period...Because I had period pain....I would say to ppl...I feel like im getting my period...So to me it sounds normal...I asked dozens of ppl if they had the same symptoms and most said they did....As you can see I have a beautiful baby boy!
So...

Good Luck Sweet im sure everything is fine!

It is most likely normal, but if I was you I would go to the Dr just to get checked out anyway!;)

Im experiencing the same thing, Im sure its just implantation as im only early.

I vaguely remember having the same thing with ds as that pg was a suprise so was like others ave said waiting for AF to arrive.

Check with your gp if unsure or if pain gets really bad:hugs:

Your ligagments soften and relax very early in your pregnancy and this can cause twinges and pains in your tummy, hips, back etc so it could be that.

I had severe cramping for first 10 weeks. Not uncommon for me to pass out from it either. Dr told me to drink more water as dehydration can affect the expanding uterus...Not cold water from fridge either, just tap water.

As you can see we have all experienced it the key is do not stress yourself about it as that is the worst possible thing to do make sure your feet are elevated for at least 20 min a day just abouve your heart and RELAX we all get so worked up sometimes we don't realise the damage we can do to ourselves :) You'll be fine stay in touch and let us know :)

Good point and at six to ten weeks you can experience implantation cramping which is just the uterus expanding and the placent forming larger and attatching to the walls of your uterus :)

Yep, i had it too. With DD i was sure something was wrong, convinced i was getting AF. I also couldn't find much info in my books. I'm 10 weeks pg now and i still get a few dull aches. I'm sure it's all fine but as others said, if they get really painful it can't hurt to see your doctor.

All the best. :)

Yep I had it early on and Dr said it was my uterus expanding. Stopped somewhere around 9 weeks and now started again around 15 weeks. Gosh It is scary feeling though, especially when yu keep expecting AF to show up

Hi Hails! Nausea, unpleasant as it is, is actually a good sign because it means you have lots of pg hormones racing around!

Try not to freak too much about the pains - it's really normal. When I asked my doc about crampy pains early in my pg he told me that virtually any pains are ok, provided there is no bleeding.

Go and speak to your doctor to be on the safe side - it will put your mind at ease.
