Hey everyone!

I thought it would be a good idea if those of us who are doing some sort of party plan work to share/brainstorm some ideas for how WE go about getting people to have parties, making sales etc.

You DON'T have to share what party plan company you work for, this is not a thread to advertise who you work for etc. I'm just thinking it'd be a good idea to put forward your ideas on how you work when you're trying to get more parties happening!

So if you're a party plan consultant person - why don't you share your tips and tricks of the trade!

1. What works for you when trying to get people to host a party?

2. What are some good party games or activites that get your guests ordering and having fun?

3. What is a good way to get people to book a party AT an actual party (like, on the night getting a following booking)

4. Who do you think are your best customers? Friends and family? Workmates? Strange, random people that are referred to you by your company etc?

5. What kind of advertising and promotion do you do (if any)?

Your feedback, ideas and suggestions are appreciated - not only by me but I'm sure by all the other party plan mums on this forum! You never know, you might learn something from someone else too!

I just started party plan about a month ago. Feeling okay about doing my display but having problems getting people to book parties:banghead: . I have exhausted my friends list. Would like hints too.

I have only played one game and that was animal bingo and seems to go down ok. Get them to write down an animal, then 5 numbers between 1-20, you yell out the numbers and as they are crossed off they make the animal noise ie: mooo, then when all numbers are crossed off say mooo bingo etc  . I just used that one to begin with as easy. Need to get some more happening though.

Business Opportunity Night

Choose a night every 2 months (more often if you need to!) and have a piece of paper with the date and time and details with room for people to put their names and phone numbers. Invite anyone who seems slightly interested in the company and any one that asks lots of questions. Use this night to talk more about the company and the business opportunity in more depth, and by carefully targeting people who have a genuine interest in starting their own home based business, you have a real chance of signing up some new consultants!

I've recently started up party plan also and am struggling to get bookings too (I've now gone through all my family and my friends are really party hosting kinds of people).

I've ordered a load more brochures and am going to do a letterbox drop with a raffle. Everyone who orders a certain amount worth of product will get an entry into the draw and I'll raffle off something decent.

I haven't played any games as yet, but I did go to another party plan party a while ago and they played a great, fun game. Each person there got 3 raffle tickets and you put your name on them and then into the box. She then layed out some product and drew three names out of the box and those three people got to choose a gift. Then she went through the box pulling names out and when your name was called out you got to take one of the products off someone. The last 3 people drawn out of the box kept the produts.

Hi fellow party girls! I have been in PP since March and i have a list of 200 icebreaker games. If you would like it pm me. To get bookings at parties i just come right out and say " Right girls what do i have to do to get a couple of parties around here? I won't run throught the street naked though...". It usually gets at least 1 party!
