View Full Version : what sort of pg tests do you use?
just curious, I have not used one for so long, whats a good one?? Is it important to spend a bit more money? Or are the cheap ones just as good?
And how are those really cheap ones you find on eaby? Worth trying??

i have found fortel to be the worst, as i always get lines on those even when not pg, this cycle i havve used first response, and i possibly have a bfp, although a faint one on those, they never give me evap lines either, and they are so easy to read.
Im not going to get excited yet though, ill wait till i get a positive on a digital, as it just says yes or no, no confusion there.
thanks girls,
doula, that first picture you posted looked pretty deffinate to me....:fingerscrossed:

I also found that fortel gave a lot of false positives due to evaporation lines and me getting overexcited.
The best I found was the discover one step - didnt get any evap lines. I still have my positive result and it hasnt faded or changed in any way ! As I was so paranoid about evaporation lines, I also bought a clearblue digital which was brilliant - It just came up with the word
"pregnant" within about 2 minutes leaving no room for misinterpretation!

I found First Response to be excellent and cheap!! I paid $13 for a 3 test pack at Bi-Lo last week:thumbsup: I didn't like Confirm though- they were about $8 for a single test and came up as a false neg for me. I got whole heap from ebay but ran out before i actually got my bfp lol. My sil to be has some though and they are sensitive and very cheap too:thumbsup:

I'm really liking the ebay ones. You can get 100 from www.fertilitysolutions.com.au
for $28.95 plus $5.95 postage!!!
I think that's really excellent, and will be ordering these very soon. I tried 3 already and they worked great!
thanks girls, think I left it too late for this month to order them over the net lol, not that patient, but if I should need more next month, thats what I will do, otherwise, bi lo here I come lol....

look at your chart Sonia, its looking awesome :fingerscrossed:
thanks Doula, still spotting though, I know I was spotting with my son as well, for quite a while, but it still makes me wonder.....
I bought two lots of pregnancy tests from Safeway. The first ones (not sure of the brand) were 3 for $10.00 (I got my BFP on the third test), and then I did confirmation testing with the "confirm" brand of HPT which were 2 for $20, and a little more high tech looking.
well, just went to my local bilo, and they had no pg tests at all.... is that a sign??? I went into the chemist, and they only had their own brand, and for that price, I wasnt willing to fork it out....

so far i have found the best def to be first response from either coles or woolworths, they are about $14 for three tests, and they dont get evap lines and they are very clear and easy to read, highly reccommended
