Is there any way to avoid catching bugs?

I have a new housemate and while she's wonderful, she is always sick.

She has only lived here for a week and a bit and has already given me a cold and has had two bouts of gastro. I went to school with her and she was the same back then the poor girl.

Anyway, I kinda like the fact that me & DS are rarely sick.

Is there anything I can do to avoid it?

I am constantly cleaning the toilet and have sent DS off to my parents house for today. But I get the feeling it'll be inevitable that we catch all the cr*p that this girl seems to pick up :rolleyes:

You may get a few things in the early days - but the cleaning and esp hand washing will help and afer a while your imune system should kick in and stop you getting all the bugs.

Your best bet is to wash your hands often and NEVER TOUCH YOUR FACE! That includes nose picking, pimple squeezing, wiping your mouth, scratching, rubbing your eyes etc. If you must touch your face, use a tissue.
