Hi! I was also looking for similar information if you check what is in the thread under Who's sending their children to calamvale Community College a lady replied the other day. I have since spoken to a teacher there who has nothing but praise for the school, she teaches grade 4,5,6. It was also advetised in the Southern star about 2 weeks ago that they won an award for education excellence. How old are your children? Mine are 2 & 4.
Cheers Lauren & Jack's Mum.

Hi Top Mum 1

I have just responded to Lauren & Jack's Mum about my experience with CCC. I am really happy with the school and you can read my comments to see why.

Hi! Seems ther has been some interest in Calamvale so I thought I would share my experiences. My daughter is currently at preschool at Calamvale Community College and I have nothing but praise for the teachers, facilities and staff there. She has had excellent preparation for school and I have no thoughts of sending her anywhere else. I have friends whose children are in other parts of the school, junior,middle(yrs7-9) and senior and they are all very happy with their children's progress.
I am a teacher and looked very carefully before making the decision to send my daughter to Calamvale as I have older children who attended private schools. Whilst I was very happy with the education they received (both are at University), from what I have seen and heard about Calamvale I have no doubts that my daughter will have as many (if not more) educational opportunities than they did.

I am impressed with the idea that my daughter will stay with the same group of teachers for 3 years, which means that they will know her very well and that she will be able to progress at a rate that is independent of her age but one that reflects her ability in different areas. My suggestion is to go and speak to someone at the school. I am more than happy with the school, no school suits every child but it is disappointing that people(the reply to Lauren and Jacks mum) so readily criticise something they have no experience of.
