I left work yesterday -part time work to have my third - I've worked there for a year - I work after hours and in the evening to 9pm so I see the day staff for short periods during changeover. I got no farewell gathering, flowers, present or voucher - just a few verbal farewells from some - others either forgot or couldnt be bothered. How rude - especially since I have been a really loyal, thorough employee for the entire time. How would you react ?

Will you be returning to work? Maybe you will get a big bunch of flowers and pressies when you have bubs, or maybe with the different hours no one thought to arrange it, or thought others would. Sorry to hear that. All the best for your bub :)

Same thing happened to me but I was fulltime 60+hrs a week and nada!!!! It broke my heart at the time!! :crying:
Within hrs of my babies birth the biggest gift basket of chocolates that I'd ever seen in my life arrived from them.
Sorry this has happened.. all the best for bubs!

I was at my workplace longer than a year and i never got a farewell when i left for maternity leave.
I think most people didn't even notice i had left.
Honestly it didn't bother me. I hated it there so i was just happy to leave.
In retrospect i am disappointed that i was never thanked for being a loyal, long term employee or wished well with my new job as a sahm but meh - it's not worth worrying about.
