Hey all,

I was just wondering if there was anything that DH can take to help boost his sperm?

I'm pretty sure Zinc is supposed to help with male reproduction and sperm count! I have bought some for my DH but he hasn't started taking it yet. I'm not sure what else is around.

I gave my DH Blackmores Mens Performance Multi - its got all sorts of things in it (including zinc) to assist with male fertility. DH and I had been trying unsuccessfuly to conceive for about 8 months, when he started with them - two months later I got my BFP. Coincidence I'm sure, but it seems to be a great product.

I second that...zinc is highly recomended for spermies!................though it's so hard to get DH to take anything :banghead:

A strong coffee 20-30mins before the 'deed' :D

Boosts all swimmers apparently, can particularly boost the Y sperm (males) but also does boost the females.

Not too much coffee (throughout the day) though as this can have the opposite affect.

My DH is taking zinc chelate and a multi vitamin - he takes the Mens Swiss Formula - which are really good. Lets just hope it helps with a BFP .. :fingerscrossed: I might have to get him to try the coffee thing this month ... he he .... thanks for the tip Nicole :)

The only thing to remeber with zinc is to take it last thing at night as it inhibits other vitmains so if you take it with dinner you wont be getting all the goodness out of your food.

My hubby is on the blackmores men's performance multi, zinc and Vit E are both good for improving count and motility.

Trust me - DF does not take any form of tablet/medication but is now having zinc for his skin (its a tiny bit dry). Boy does it work. Not only for the boys - but a bit more bd!:p

Hi jones02 - yes, I just bought a maybe baby from a pharmacy (behind the counter). They are very expensive (I paid $76 - looks like it would cost about $2 to make!!!), but you can use them month after month, which is especially useful if you take a long time to conceive (like me). You just put a bit of saliva on the lens, and have a look through it to see changes in the pattern. Its an expensive option, so if you're just starting out, I'd try another method first (OPKs, charting, CM) - I've only bought one because I'm getting desperate and will try anything now!

I have a Maybe Baby and use it every morning when I get up (after taking my BBT! lol) to try to see fertile stages in advance. I am not ovulating uet after going off the pill 3 months ago so OPK are useless to me!

Check it out here http://www.maybebaby.com.au/

I do agree they are expensive for something that looks like it would be pretty cheap to make! I have heard of people getting them off Ebay, even second hand, wouldnt hurt to save a bit of money off them if you can!
