View Full Version : What on earth is going on?!
The past week or so DS has been ratbaggy, tired, grumpy, rough, violent, disobedient.
I have no idea why he is being like this and my usual discipline techniques just completely fail!
It is really driving me bonkers.
He just seems tired alllll the time.
It's like he can't control himself. I speak and he just does the opposite of what I say or acts as if I've said nothing.
I've been having trouble getting vegies into him, but that's nothing new.
PLEASE tell me this will end. I can't take it much longer :hair:
not around the 3 area is he? maybe its the time of year :/ I know the feeling lol - though EJs not tired tired just all the rest lol
If he's reaching 3... it's just developmental... rbace yourself, it gets worse...
Mine are 4 now... and OMG..., the attitude!!...
But 4 is still better than 3 I think.
2 was nooooooothing, compared to 3/4...

You're kidding?!!? DD is almost 2, and I'm thinking, it sooooooo could not possibly get any worse than this.... :hissy: :hair:

He's not getting a cold or ear infection or anything like that??
If not probably just the 'testing the rules' and developing independance stage!!
_ feel your pain X3 at the moment!!!:hair:
Am I right in saying you start your new job soon??? Could he be aware of/sensing the change in routine ahead and be acting out because of that???

I know you dont want to hear it but I am with Gret :o
Unless he is getting sick or a food item has set him off ... Its his age ...
Dear God 3yrs nearly sent me over the edge & yep 4yrs is a shocker too but its somehow more bearable ...
The attitude is like having a teenager already ... Yay :hair:

He could be, I am running around like a headless chook lately.
I agree - 3 is way worse than 2, he turned 3 in April.
He is currently in his room for yet another time out, he actually spent most of today in there.
He has escaped the house twice, nearly ran out onto a busy road, was rude to the daycare lady we went to meet.
I've had it!
He barely slept last night. I'm thinking overnight I am just going to lock him in his room, I've had it. I'm tired, stressed, and have had it.
Are his ears sore?
If he normally sleeps all night I'd be looking into things that might be keeping him awake. Ear infections hurt more when lying down.

I don't know if I'll last 14 days!!!!!!!!! :hair:
I can't get on msn, he's so naughty I have to get up every 2 seconds, I have been returning him to his bed since 1 pm because he desperately needs a sleep.
I'll see if I can get on tonight, but as usual I think I'll have a full house again.

He tells me they're not sore but I might get him a check up tomorrow because he's not himself. He did have a bad fever over the weekend, maybe something is still lingering around!
Maybe try propping his bed up or giving him more pillows so he's in a sort of reclined position instead of lying flat.. See if he sleeps better that way.

I'll give it a go  thanks!
