Hi guys just thought I'd start a post on anxiety when TTC. Isn't it awful. I hate it, the days are just going far too slow.

I am finding myself getting consumed by it all. Does anyone else feel this way? MY DP must think I'm mad, I think i am a little bit worse because of my previous m/c.

Also I do wonder if my body is playing tricks on me or whether it is all just tin the mind. Oh well I will just have to try and keep busy to keep my mind off it, and wait until monday next week to see what's really going on.

I was nearly tempted to go to the GP today and get a blood test done since my HPK came back negative, even though I have a feeling that i am pregnant??

Feel free to share your feelings I would love to hear if there is anyone else feeling a bit like me.

Hey Pippa

My goodness - everything you have described sound precisely how I am feeling. The number of times I stopped myself from calling my doctor today. I did a HPT this morning with a BFN!!! :mad:

I am only three days, 7 hours and 53 minutes away from being able to test (geez can you tell I am hanging out!) and I am going mad!! I just want to know!

My body is driving me crazy!!! Part of me thinks that I have read too many articles on what to expect in the first couple of weeks, and now I worry that I am making everything up in my head. I can't concentrate at work at all, and I am really tired! Which although tirdeness is meant to be one of the symptoms of pregnancy, I am starting to think it is more because I have thought about all of this too much!!

I have only been trying for this month, but have been preparing for the last four months (taking folate etc!), and now that there is a possibility, I just want to know which way or the other!! :confused:

I can totally sympathize with you on this whole anxiety thing - I am feeling the exact same things as you!

Hi Pippa,

I know exactly what you mean. Ever since we have decided to TTC #2 I seem to have become a woman possessed(or is that obsessed). DH says to try not to think about it but once we decided to try, how can you not think about it?

Anyway I have tried to take his advice and I am going to the gym, cleaning like a crazy person and keeping as social as my almost 1 year old allows me to be.

I don't have experience of a m/c but I can imagine that you are anxious about it
every month. My fingers are crossed for you.

Hi Everyone!

I am one of you too. My husband and I have just decided to try for bub #1. I have wanted to start for a while but DH didn't. He finally has come round. All I can think of is having a baby, all of the things to do and what I need to get. Who to tell etc......... :D I think that I am having symptoms but am not sure as this is my first month off the pill in 4 years. I tested this morning as it was 28 days since AF. I just don't know what to do! :eek: .

Hope you all have something to focus on soon. LOL

Hi Stacy,

hope all goes well for you and your DH and you conceive soon too. I just had a good chat with my DP and told him how I was feeling, hopefully now I will be able to just try and relax and hopefully it will happen soon if it hasn't done so already.

I too am in the same boat. i am am 9dpo and i have sore boobs, unusual taste in the mouth, tired! and have been dry reaching whilst giving the dog its food.

We have been ttc#2 for around 7 months. DS is 10months old!

Just took a test- wishful thinking- but it turned out BFN. :(

Oh, well. Try again in another week!

your symptoms sound promising, hopefully your next test will be a BFP, and mine too. I did just say to my DP that maybe it's all in my mind and I'm imagining my symptoms??

Hi Gals,
Well, I'm like all of you!!! Apart from I'm only on day 14. I have been off the pill since Jan but this is only our 4th month of trying. It took us 7 months with our first son and 3 months with our second. The first 2 months of trying we tried the whole timing thing to get a girl but that has gone out the window.
I just want to be pregnant, I want to get big, I want the morning sickness well maybe if it isn't as bad as my last 2. In and out of hospital hooked up to drips with both, with the first it was for the first 20 weeks and with the second it was the first 15 weeks. But now I really don't care, I say bring it on!!! :p
Well, I better go now.

Pippa- sounds like we have a similiar cycle. I only have 6 days wait for AF! Hope we both get the BFP's like we want! It would be great to chat with someone else whos at the same stage.

I have six days left to wait too. And man am I going crazy. I tested early too and got a BFN but unlike you guys I am not showing any signs of even thinking I am pg and I just get the feeling it is like last month. Disappointing but oh well I guess it is just the wa the cookie crumbles. Will certainly make me much more appreciative when it does happen.

Pippa- If you dont mind me asking when did you m/c?
I had 2 m/c's before i had my DS (10months old).

Deborah- Dont worry if about not having any symptoms just yet. When i was prego with my DS, i had no symptoms until 6-7 weeks, which i then only had morning sickness. No sore boobies, or running to the toilet every 10-15 mins!
Just wait and see if your AF rears her ugly head!! If not, i'd def test then! Goodluck with the wait. I'm here if you need support not to test again too early.

Katherine- You sound a lot like me. I'm just not content on having my son, but i too want the big belly again (even thou i remember saying near the end that i was completely over the whole thing an i wanted it to end. Which it did at 36weeks when i developed PE)

Take it easy. Keep in touch all. Try not to test too early.

Hi Kelly,

I had a m/c around the 12th of may. I had some bleeding in the 5th week of my pregnancy, we went to the hospital and i went for the usual run of blood tests etc, but as i was less than 6 weeks i had to go back for a scan the following week. We went back the following week but I wasn't quite 6 weeks at this stage, my QBHCG had increased but they couldn't see a heartbeat on the scan, so we had to go back again a few days later where we saw a heart beat. When they where doing this scan they thought that I had what they call a bi-cornate uterus (a heart shaped uterus) so they wanted me to go abck for another scan at around 8 weeks.

We went back on the 12th of may only to find out that we had lost our little cherub. There was another bleed there but I hadn't had amymore bleeding.

It took 6 weeks for AF to return and then we started TTC again.

I am soo sorry for your loss. Did the dr tell you to wait ttc again? We were advised by our dr to, but i ignored him and got prego the next cycle. I wish you all the best for this month (hopefully you dont have ttc in august).
Just another thought- if you are O-, have you received the anti d injection?
I blame not receiving it for the 2nd m/c coz the br thought it wasnt necessary. Afterwards i read that any bleeding when O- you should receive the injection.

Hi Kelly,

our dr advised us to wait one cycle which we have done. I am an O positive blood group so I didn't need anti-D. Anyone who is a negative blood group needs anti D with any bleeding that occurs in pregnancy.

Not having it wouldn't have caused your m/c, though sweet.

Hi gals,
Well, I'm only on day 16 and I'm going mad. I hate having to wait so long to see if we fell or not. Yesterday during the day I had some cramping on and off for about an hour and then last night I had some spotting. I've also had a bad headache since last night. :confused:
I think that I'm going to go completly mad before Af is even due.
That's all from me for now but will keep you up to date on how mad I'm going!!! :D

Hi All!

I have 4 days to AF. Obviously hoping that it doesnt appear. I felt like taking a test just now, but i am trying to wait until my AF is due. I have the sore boobs, tiredness, headaches, i actaully had a small cramp/pain in my right side just by my hip (implantation?).
I really hope that its not all in my head!
Wot do you all think, should i test 4 days early for just wait? Its frustrating, seeing my sis-in-law whos preggers, and just wanting it to all happen for me!!
Anyway,
Let me know what you think. Up for any suggestions (to test or not to test?, what are the better HPT's).

DON'T DO IT, KELLY!!!! If you are pregnant, you are pregnant.. but I don't care what they say, a lot of tests show a negative result if you test before your period. If that happens, you will just feel down and miserable and discouraged and have wasted your money.. only to say 'oh but maybe I tested too early' and get your hopes up again!! And up and down the roller coaster goes (all those negative emotions DO cause toxins to leak into your bloodstream and that can't possibly be good for your baby!;)), until you find out one way or the other when AF arrives or doesn't (and if it doesn't, you will get an accurate test result!)

It's only 4 days. Be strong... :)

I guess that you are right about the rollercoaster that we ride on continuously. I will be strong and wait for AF!!! I was trying to remember when i tested when i've been prego previously, (2 m/c's and a 10month old DS) and i think i tested before my AF was due. Not sure, but i'll play it safe for now!

Hey ,

Man I just got threw reading all of those posts and I am
really surprized I thought that I was one of very few that felt
that way. I have been ttc for #3 for 6 months now and have
been going crazy bc my doc told me not to get worried and to
give it another 6 months! Does he realize how long that is when
your wanting a baby? Every day I get on the net and look at my
ovulation calendar even though I know what day it is supposed to
be on just to make sure that I don't forget and I have ordered a
bunch of cheap pregnancy test and ovulation test so hopefully it
will finally work. I like all of yall just can't stop thinking about having
another one. My best friend is having her first and she has been
telling me about her baby kicking and I just can't wait bc that
is such a neat feeling!!!

Well, I'm now on day 18 and my cramps that I've been having I think have finally gone away. Still only had that one lot of spotting but had the cramps for about 2 days.

My AF is due today, and i have no feeling that its about to start. I still have the metallic taste and the sore boobs, so hopefully they are both a good sign!!! I
went and brought some tests today, i'm feeling that positive about it!!!

I actually done a test on Friday, but it was -ve. I think it was a bit early to tell.

Anyway, hope to hear from others.

I really hope that AF stays away for you both. AF is due for me on Monday and I'm really starting to feel like it isn't going to show it's ugly head. I've got that many sign that are pointing to me being pregnant. I've been felling sick since I was sick on Friday, been more tired than usual, I've got lots of pimples and that only usually happens if I'm pregnant, my belly is all tight, I've been peeing a lot more, the veins in my boobs are sticking out and I feel like there is a stack of bricks on my boobs. Oh I forgot one, MOOD SWINGS!!! This is my 7th month off the pill but we have only been trying for 4 months.
I will let you all know how I go.

Hey guys!

I didnt do the ovulation test this month, but we have been *trying* very other day, and towards the middle of the month we *tried* every day....... Its been a very stressful month with Stevens gran being in hospital and all, but hopefully that hasnt affected my cycle....I would love to be able to tell Gran that she has a GREAT GREAT grandchild on the way! :)

Yesterday and today ive had some mild cramps and I'm hoping thats a good sign....but trying not to get my hopes up to much!

My period is due first week in August and fingers crossed it wont show!!! If it does, more fun to try again next month as well!

Has anyone had any positive tests yet? I'm trying to hold off on testing until I'm late this month!

I'm going to test this weekend, AF isn't due till Monday but I have a few test so I thought I will try one on the weekend and then if it comes up BFN then I will wait till Tuesday to do another. The first week in August is only next week!!!

Hi Katherine,

Well I thought AF was due today. I presumed that my cycle would return to a 28 day one after my m/c so it should be due today. It hasn't reard it's ugly head as yet today, and I did a test this morning but got a BFN. Still getting the signs that I may be pregnant but maybe my cycle is just wacky from the m/c and I didn't ovulate at all.

If i havn't conceived this month I'm going to get and OPK for next month.

Hi Pippa,

Don't get too discouraged just yet. I did a test the day AF was due and BFN. :mad: Then another at 3 days after AF was due, and BFN :mad: . I had almost lost all hope by then, but took another at 1 week after AF was due, waited 1 minute and BFN, so had a shower, by the time i got out of the shower BFP!!! :eek: I didn't believe it so I did another the next day with and another 3 days later with BFP! :D

I really really hope you are pregnant!

congradulations on your pregnancy. Well AF still hasn't come today, and I don't really feel like it is going to?????? I am so tired today, I really havn't been sleeping well which is what happened before when I was pregnant, and I feel alittle off today.

God I hate this waiting game I wish It would come or not. I have decided I'm going to wait until friday and then ? may test again or go to the doctors and get a blood test done if AF hasn't come.

Hi pippa,

Just wanted to tell you that we both must have miscarried around the same time. My partner and I weren't trying and my period came a couple of days late (which I didn't even notice - as I was never in tune with my body). Anyway as it turns out we were pregnant, and I finally went to the doctor 1-2 weeks later (thinking the brown discharge was strange), and that is where I found out I was pregnant. Went for a external and internal scan that afternoon, only to find out that I was carrying twins, and one had gone and the other one was threatened (that date being around the 11/5/05 - and apparently I was 5 wks 4 days). The other was still there with a heart beat of 109bpm. Was excited and freaked all in the one day. An experience I will never forget - emotional rollercoaster to say the least - I just could not stop crying. My doctor sent me for HCG level tests every 2nd day (I nearly felt like a junky), for two weeks, and then sent me for another scan after 10 days. She said that unless my HCG levels showed that I was not carrying a normal viable pregnancy with the other twin, that they would terminate after 3 weeks, or the little one would just go normally. That 2-3 weeks was the longest in my life. I prayed every night, but really the doctor had given me very little hope. But the thing is once I started to get my HCG level data, it appeared fine. So then I started to feel excited again. When I went for my last scan on 23/5/05, there was no longer a heart beat. I just couldn't believe I could loose both of them. I had my suction D&C on the 27th May, left it a cycle and we are trying again. This is my third cycle after my D&C and I am on Day 9. I was so thankful that we didn't have to try to fall pregnant last time (and it just happened), but now we are trying and we can't. This really isn't an easy process is it?

Oh well been babbling for long enough now.

I'm so sorry about your m/c I hope you are healing well, regardless whether you were trying or not it doesn't make the pain any less. If you ever need someone to chat to feel free to email me.

In answer to you question re ovulation, I can't really answer that. I fell pregnant before my m/c in the first month of trying so obviously I ovulated. Then I had my m/c, waited until AF came (that took 6weeks) and then last month was our first month of trying again and because I wasn't really watching my temps or mucus etc just BD'ing around the dates I thought I would ovulate I don't know if i didn't ovulate or not.

I think because I just presumed that my cycle would be 28 days and not 33 like it was my BD'ing days were all wrong.

Oh well hope that helps a bit. I'm just going to try and do my temps and watch my mucus and also try using a OPK and see what happens.

Well this is my first month of temping and OPKíng. So hopefully we can both help each other with our experiences. I will be starting the OPK on Day 11 which will be Tuesday 2nd August.

I can't seem to find any information about whether you do ovulate after m/c, but maybe we just don't have any clues, but hopefully temping and OPK'n will help fill in the blanks this month.

Sorry its taken me almost a week to answer your question......I'm on day 36 of a normal 28-32 day cycle...... I took a Pregnosis HPT at lunch time and it came back negative, so I dont know if my body is just playing tricks on me or not.

I've been increasingly nauseous over the past 4 days, and Ive also been very sensitive to smells, so far as to gagging if something offends my nose! :eek: My nipples are increadably sensitive, almost painful, just the outter sides of my breasts are tender (When I get my period they are sore all over, plus hot and heavy).... and over the past 4 days Ive had almost a constant ache in my lower belly (just like I normally get about an hour before my period starts).

I'll try another test tomorrow morning. Does anyone know which test is the best and most accurate? :confused:

Goodnews about the friend I told you all about too, the doctors were wrong, her second lot of tests showed no abnormalities!!!! She is on cloud nine! We are all so happy for her!

Hey Kathleen,
I had nothing but trouble with fortel ultra, every second one wouldn't work!!! I switched to confirm Midstream pregnancy Test. I only had to buy the one box with 2 in it. The first one came up with the 2 lines and I used the second one the next morning to double check.

Thanks guys!!!! I'm so excited, another day gone by without TOM (Time of Month)arriving.

I bled a tiny bit last night after BD but we were pretty.... ummm.... "enthusiastic" about it...it had been a few days.........so maybe that was the cause, it seems to have gone again today!

I bought a Confirm preg test last night and plan to take it today if TOM doesnt arrive.

Took a test yesterday! It was positive....so I took another one yeseterday lunch time, and that was positive too! THEN I took another one this morning and IT was positive too! All fairly faint, but all positive!

I'm so nervous and excited and happy and I dont know what I feel! LOL Its soooo WOW!!!!

I've got my doctors appointment this morning to confirm etc....

I'm so scared that someone will go wrong!!!!

I had my doctors appointment at 10am. The Dr offered to repeat the test but said she proably didnt need to since I tested 3 times myself with positive results! :)

At least she didnt look at me strange when I told her I still had the tests! Stevens mum and sister were grossed out that I still had it! LOL

I'm so excited....its out first baby. I dont know what to call it...I dont want to call the baby IT forever....I think maybe Tiny or Bubba for now....maybe Tiny because its so tiny still.

Doctor said for me to come back next week for my blood test and she will book me in for my ultrasound. I'll be going to the antenatal unit at the hospital and the midwifes will take care of it all. I cant hardly wait!
