Hi all:wave:
My hubby bought me a juicer but some girls at work told me that there are some fruit and veg that shouldnt be juiced whilst preggers. I read throught the juice recipie book but it doesnt say anything except that beetroot and carrot can be too high in sugar.

Does any one have any ideas on what I can juice??

Thanks:chef:

I have never heard of fresh juice being unsuitable when pg! Just ensure you give everything a good wash first!;)

To my knowledge only carrots in large amounts can be a bit iffy but other than that - the fresher the better!! Of course, fruit is high in sugar so you need to limit the intake but thats anytime not just pg.

I was told that things like citrus can absorb calcium therefore the baby may lack it.
I think I over parranoid cos its my first bub and I want to do things right.

Citrus I was told was very good for you when pg as it helps with your iron stores! It won't actually give you iron but helps the absorbtion of iron. Which when pg is really good!

I had fresh juice a lot when I was pregnant, especially orange in the morning. Oscar's mum is right about citurs helping with iron absorption. So go for it!!!
