Hi i am new to this site and after some answers to my questions hopefully................ I recently found out i was pregnant about a month ago and had the normal blood tests done and my doctor told me that i had anti k antibodies in my blood but i myself am anti k negative. My husband had a blood test done and found out he too is anti k negative. I had a miscarraige 2 wks ago and i am looking for some answers about this anti k. I had to have a blood transfusion after i had my son ruffly 4 yrs ago and was told that i would of got the antibodies through the blood transfusion as both hubby and i are k negative. My doctor also told me that the anti K antibodies can stay in your blood at high levels for a long time. So my question is....... is this going to stop me from falling pregnant and carring full term? Am i going to keep having miscarraiges?

Hi
I am unsure about negative results but my hubby and i are antibodies positive, being positive is rare my OB is not too worries although i do have to have bloods taken every 4 weeks and ultrasounds, the bloods are to make sure the tetre levels dont rise. can cause issues for the baby when born. I dont have a lot of info on it.

goodluck

Thanks everyone i think from what i have read beacuse both hubby and i are anti k negative and have only been affected with the antibodies through my blood transfusion this should not cause any ongoing problems.
