 Try Colin Little - he's an immunologist/allergist that sees children.

His bedside manner *may* be abrupt, and he talks quite quickly (take notes or a friend with you)- but I found him EXCELLENT in helping me with my kids.

He's in Mt Waverley, and do not wear perfume or deodorant or any chemicals (hairspray) if you go to his clinic - he sees many people with all sorts of allergies and intolerences.

You should be able to go to any GP, but why not ring yours and ask for a referral and pick it up at the desk?

Work out which paed you want, check with their office their availability, make an appointment and then ring your GP with all the details. That way if the pead is booked out for a couple of months, you can look for another.

Also most large public hospy's have a paed, but again waitiong for them is annpoying, but getting into seeing them is the same as a normal paed, and the hospy paed can then refer you onto a better specialist and seeing them is then often quicker.

It may cost you a few $$, but it's often quicker than waiting for an appointment with the GP and then sitting in their waiting rooms for a hour or two or three with sick people

so...back from the paed
DS eczema is finally under control, im so happy!
there's 2 doctors at the clinic, female & male.
As much as the female was good, she would cross-check with the male for advice prior to letting us walk out. So perhaps if you were to visit this clinic, see the male!
anyhow. hope something works out for you.

We see Dr Ralf Heine who is at the children's hospital. He's actually the senior there so we see another allergy specialist doctor who resides under him and he comes in during our appointment and approves what she has said etc. He looks nothing like what you expect a pead or someone who works with children - lol... he's a nice guy and knows his stuff but when we first met him he looked like a gruff rough bikie but he's not bad :D

We see a variety of peads at the children's hospital. We just got a referral from our local doctor to see a pead and from there they referred us to the allergy clinic. It's probably close to you being in Sunbury.

We see Dr Michael Howsen at Niddrie Medical Centre, and we travel for him, he's great, he is a GP who only sees children.
