View Full Version : Decisions... can anyone help?

Im debating on whether to extend my stash with extra mcn's for times when it is rainy or I don't have the chance to wash etc... or whether to buy a few bamboo flats and covers as back ups instead...:confused:

Would it be any quicker for bamboo flats to dry in rainy weather or basically the same time at AI1/AI2's??

Also can they go in the dryer without any problems or its still not generally advisable?

Any other solutions?

Getting more MCN's is always fun :yes: I used the rain excuse to get some more.
But seriously the question of rain and drying is interesting. I use the dryer every now and then to speed up the drying I find in winter the nappies really don't get fully dry even if there's no rain. But using dryer all the time I believe does affect any clothing (just look at the lint that it collects!)... but I have to use it even if only for 30-40 mins after 2 days on the clothes horse. No matter how many nappies I have I still have to chuck them in the dryer just to really dry them! I can't leave the nappies on the line for too long, because I have too many other clothes to hang and dry! LOL.

We ended up getting some bamboo flats for the winter, they work a treat.They only take a few hours in front of the heater to dry.

We don't have a dryer.

I've got a few flats for backup, quick to dry etc...

I use bamboo flats for back ups and when I am at home. they work great, are cheap and dry quickly. I think it's always good to have some back up nappies :thumbsup:

I agree with the other girls, bamboo flats are great to have as backup.. We have a dryer though so drying is not such an issue..

Thanks plenty. My dryer just crashed, don't think ill be getting a new one as this one was given to me 2nd hand (or 5th hand :p) Im hoping to get a heater though! and i have the little portable clothes hoists that i can cart around to follow some sun lol.

Might get a few of the bamboo flats...along with some more mcn's haha. :D
