my brother asked me if i was having a baby shower for DS2 and i dont know if it would be seen as rude or something like that to have one seen as how ds1 and ds 2 will be 18 months apart.

I didn't want one for my little bub because I didn't want people to feel obliged to give pressies etc but I ended up having a Welcoming Party/Shower because EVERYONE wanted to meet her! After her birth I kept getting phone calls about when people could "drop over" to see the baby so in the end I just said "ok - having a welcoming party on this date" and it was so much easier to get it over and done with rather than people dropping over all the time.

And yes it's a celebration and your friends and family would love to celebrate with you!!! And 18 months apart is not too close a gap!!!:p

Party on!!! :chef: (have no idea about the chef thing but it's the closest to a party hat!)

You could have a blessingway instead (http://www.blessingway.net). Each child is unique and its entry into the world should be celebrated!!
