Just wondering... :detective:
My SIL has offered to throw me a baby shower.
a) At what week of the pregnancy is it customary to have it?
b) Do you invite women only?
c) Should you tell people what you want?
d) Should I let SIL organise everything or be involved?
e) Should it be at my house, her house or a park/restaurant/etc.?
f) Who provides the food/drinks & decorations?
Thanks!

a) At what week of the pregnancy is it customary to have it?
Usually towards the end, but some women have one earlier. Mine was at 7 months because we were moving.
b) Do you invite women only?
I think thats the 'norm' but nowdays I think anything goes!
c) Should you tell people what you want?
If you want to. Id be more inclined to give your SIL a list of things you need, that way if someone asks her she can tell them something - without coming across pushy.
d) Should I let SIL organise everything or be involved?
Thats completely up to you! My mum and friend organised everything for mine - I just turned up!
e) Should it be at my house, her house or a park/restaurant/etc.?
Again - totally up to you! We had mine at my mum's house - it was nice and relaxed.
f) Who provides the food/drinks & decorations?
Usually the person throwing the party. You could offer to contribute if you want though.
Hope that helps... :D

a) At what week of the pregnancy is it customary to have it?
towards the end, maybe 34-36 weeks
b) Do you invite women only?
generally, but i didnt, i just had like a party.
c) Should you tell people what you want?
up to you, lots of people will ask, but if you know what you need then feel free to let them know rather than ask them to get it IYKWIM
d) Should I let SIL organise everything or be involved?
if she has offered to i would, its up to you.
e) Should it be at my house, her house or a park/restaurant/etc.?
a house is probably better. less prep and easier. and depends who is organising it.
Discuss it with SIL
f) Who provides the food/drinks & decorations?
again all depends on who is organising it,
