well it all started on the wednesday the 31st of may i went to see my ob and due to me having two quite big boys my ob said he was inducing me at 37 weeks due this was going to be big as well WRONG so i was told at my appt on wed afternoon that i would go to hospital at mignight that night to be amitted and gels were to be put in at 2am which i thought you could have told me that the week before so i could have rested but instead that day i went shopping at erina fair for last minute things with my mum so in i went at midnight i could sleep before i went to hospital so i slept until 2am had the gels started to get pains in my back alittle not much just enough to let me know they were there i slept a little more so at 8am ob came to break my waters my cervix was not ready which i told him the day before i have had to have with my other bubs two sets of gels but anyway so another lot was put in ob went to work and said he will be back at 1pm to break my waters if they dont break themselves so at 9am i started to get contracts and they were quite close when i was in the bed but i wanted an active labour not the bed like my other two so i was up walking around pacing the hallways for an hour and my contracts seemed to go away a little when i was walking so i went to lay down and then they came back again. I did this until 2pm when ob came to break my waters he had two other women being induced one had delivered so that why he was late so after my waters were broken my labour had started also they gave me the drip as well and started me on 12 then ever hour it went up so at 3 pm i was still going not much had changed i was sitting in bed laughing and chatting to my mum and in laws and partner and stopped were contraction then i would say oh ok where were we they just laughed i was cracking jokes they lady next door was giving birth the rooms were not sound proof let me tell you we all laughed because this lady found god that day she keep saying god alot well 4.30 the midwives changed jo came on she was great she came in and looked at me and then my fingers and said right im getting you apple juice a cuppa tea and and a sandwich you need to eat i have no idea she was saying but i had not eaten since the night and she took my blood pressure which i had only had done once since in labour and had my temp taken which i had a slight temp so she gave me pandaol but anyway this midwive was great i was now the only women on labour ward so i had her all to myself she was taken me for walks and we were chatting and stuff my contracts were now ever 3-4 mins and she did an internal at 5.30 because i had not had one since my ob broke my waters i was 5cm i was so not feeling like i was in labour my ob came at 6pm i was in the hallway with jo and we were laughing and he said no i dont like what im seeing you are not really in labour if you are laughing at this stage of your labour my dear he was laughing saying right i pumping your drip up to 260 i was only on 76 at this stage but he said to jo right lets give her some pain now i just looked at him as like "what the" so he put the drip up to 96 so dinner came mum and partner ate me dinner i ate my roll and ice cream at 7pm i felt like i need to push a little but my midwive did a check i was 8 cm so she said not yet my love but soon i was at this stage quite tired and and almost had enough waiting around for lillte miss to come so i could not get in a position i felt good in bubs was laying to my right not straight down so jo said why dont you stand up and lean over the bed and then she should move so i did that at 7.30 now for half n hour i started now to feel like i was in labour boy did it hurt ever conctraction i just rocked back and forward my parnter was on the other side of the bed talking to me cracking jokes i looked at him with this face he said that i could have bitten his head off and yelled this is no time for jokes smart a**e mum said yay she now is getting close and then oh my god i was having contracton every minute now and and i still standing and i started i shake and my legs were giving away all the time my midwive said right back on the bed with you i was losing it with the pain now it was 8.50pm and i was on the bed saying to the midwive i need to push now she had a look and said no you are at 9cm not yet but i said no i really need to push she said you will be while yet love but in me i knew i wouldnt be so she said hang on i need to go and get that buzzer if you need me press your twice and it will buzz quicker and then i know its you ( their were now two other women now in the ward at this time ) So anyway she left i get saying to mum and partner i really need to push and they said no you cant try and hold it i lost it now i was in so much pain every minute i was pushing a little then holding it now this went on for 10 minutes or so i kept telling them to go get her mum kept saying she will back in a minute i was in so much pain having to hold back on pushing so in walked the midwive i said i really need to push she said yeah you could it you wanted to i just fell back on the bed and started to shake more and i was crying she looked at me and yep you are ready to push now i knew that 10 mins ago i told her i was now really losing it saying things not right and i was saying now FAR OUT BRUSSEL SPROUT GET THIS BABY OUT OUT OUT OUT OUT and i was pushing and then i said have you rang the ob she said i going to ring him now so she did he was now on his way he lived only 3- 4 mins away so she thought he had time WRONG i started to push really well and with 6 pushed she was out i was so impressed 9.18pm she was born and my ob walked in at 9.19pm he was not happy he was not ring earlier but anyway i just looked at him and said you are geting paided now and he said just laughed and said oh yeah you are fine.
jacinta came out purple lifeless and not really moving all so they said to my partner quick cut the cord they rushed her over to the heat table thingy and gave her oxygen she just went cry cry no big crys like my boys but she was fine i was also being worked on due to pph after both my boys so ob had the placenta out with 1 min and i was given the drip to contract my uterus back down and i had a slight tear so i had 3 stiches and i felt tired but i could sleep i just layed their looking at her most of the night she was 7pounds 5 oz flynn was 13p 5 z so she was half him really i guess that why the next day i really and this my sound weird i did have a baby i didnt hurt down their if u know what i mean i felt so good everyone said gee you really dont look that bad i felt great i had to stay i for 6 days due to her having jaundice and had to go under the lights for 24 hours and while she was under their they noticed her heart rate was dropping under 100 a lot so peds dr wanted a ecg done i tell u what for two days i was a worry wart having her under the light which was fine but when they talked to me about her heart my sank we had to wait 2 hours normally you can wait for 4- 5 hours but they rushed hers though and the tests came back normal thank god so thats my story a long one i had this theory that i was only going to have a short labour due 1st was 7 hrs 2nd was 4hrs well this was from active labour 7 hours again but it was a long day thats for sure thanks :yelclap:
