And why? What keeps you awake at night? How do you cope with lack of sleep?

Around 6 1/2 broken hours. Not because of dd, I am the horrible sleeper. I take 1-2 hours to fall asleep at night, then wake up for alot for the toilet or just being generally restless.. and not because I'm pregnant either, that is an average night for me :p I don't know how my dd is such a good sleeper really.

On a bad night about 2-4 hours.
On a good night about 6-8 hours.
On a rare excellent night 12 hours (ahh i dream about it :cloud9:).
My DD is the only thing keeping me up :(
Last night i got about 3 and half hours of broken sleep and i'm one tired mummy this morning.
I cope by living in denial and pretending i've slept.
I also keep plenty of apples in the house and when i feel super drowsy i eat one and it perks me up

10 Hours most nights, although I usually will wake atleast once for the toilet or for DD. I go to bed very early though, 9pm usually.

7-8 hours usually.

I cant get to sleep before 11.30-12pm.
Doesnt matter how tired i am, or what time i get into bed or what time i got up. i just toss and turn till then.
Then earliest DD wakes up is 7 but she can sleep till 9.30 sometimes (usually the day i forget to sent my alarm and we have to leave at 9:rolleyes:)

Sometimes none at all because Boof often doesnt sleep until after 10pm & G starts waking around midnite in pain when his reflux flares. I finally get G down to sleep at 3am & then Boof wakes up ready to start the day :dizzy::crying:

A good nite is getting 5hrs

But I think I can say the average is around 3hrs !

...probably about 6ish hours of constantly broken light sleep.

I suck at going to bed early ..and like others will only toss and turn for ages, then DD1,DD&DS2 wake one or two times each, the dogs bark, I dream a really weird dream that wakes me up, I can't get comfy, I realise I have fallen asleep in Ds2s bed and stumble back to mine, I wake to push DS1s knee out of my face, I poke DP in the ribs to stop snoring, get up to get DD a bottle, back into what ever bed looks more empty and comfy...to be woken by the FIL and his work crew at about 545 - 6 am, and I stay in bed with my eyes shut tight but not sleeping til about 630 - 7.

5-6 hours? Lately I've been taking ages to fall asleep, and then DS wakes up loads.

Even when he doesn't wake up, I keep startling awake because I'm so used to him waking up.

And the #)(*%)(#%*)(%*)(%*)%*()# cat often needs to be let in or out, because it screeches until you get up and do so. And wakes the baby if you try to ignore it!

And then of course I usually need to get up to go to the loo at some point.

ugh

3-4 hours usually, but that is my fault. I just can't go to sleep any earlier then 1 or 2 am.

:)i go to bed about 9.30pm and get about 8-9 hrs straight, depending on when ds 2 wakes for a feed. He is 8 weeks old and sleeps 10 hours on average at night. I feel good, if i can get to bed at night before 9.30 i do!!!
