What vegies to put with Butter Chicken?

Hi guys!
Im making Butter Chicken for dinner tonight (mild curry base) and Im wondering what vegies to put with it? Im having rice and papadums (sp?) also, but Im just not sure what vegetables would be nice with it as a side - or actually in it?

I think something nice and green, like beans or broccoli.

You could put some carrot, pumpkin or cauliflower in it. I actually put peas and corn in my butter chicken the other night. It doesn't sound exactly right but it was a last minute thing and it was really nice. :yes:

If your not sure maybe some steamed brocoli and carrots on the side.

Ive got carrots, zucchini and peas, but no beans or brocoli. (its shopping week this week!:rolleyes: )
Do you mean to have them on the side or chopped up in the curry?

Roast pumpkin is always nice with almost anything. I used to cut granny smith apples up into smallish (1-2cm) chunks and throw into curries. Time it so they don't go completely soft in the cooking. The slight tartness is nice against the curry. Raisins or sultanas can go in, as can chickpeas. DH always put potatos into his. Parboil or boil them first, depending when you want to throw them into the curry.

With those vegies, they would be quite yummy in the curry or you could have them steamed and on the side!! Enjoy, sounds very yummy!!

I put peas, potato's and long beans in sultana's as well :D
