View Full Version : Kindermusik
Anyone have any experiences to share? Would love to do something musical with DD next term.
Or has anyone tried a similar programme?
DD does it and loves it and has done it since she was 18 months old - ask Bron, she is the kindermusik expert

Yep we've done it and loved it. It's a bit much for me atm with the new bubby but can't wait to get back t it.
Where are you? The chick who teaches it in east vic park is awesome.
justmum-We're NOR so we'll probably go to the North Perth one.
I have done classes with the North Perth lady too - she's really lovely but not the best class leader.

Yeah i have to agree with justmum on this one. :D If I lived closer I would take my DD to the east vic park class.

I would suggest going to a Do-Re-Mi teacher as you they must be appropriately quailfied (you can google Do-Re-Mi). From what I've heard (as an ECM teached) Kindermusic teachers do not all have the appropriate qualifications.
But it is most definately worth getting in to, as these programs are developmental, and do so much in so many different ways.
Hope you enjoy it!

We did kindermusik, it was sooo expensive though for the term.
It was good when DS was younger as he could just go for free while DD did it, but now we'd have to pay for him as well and he wouldn't do well with it and its too structured and not active enough for him lol.
Now we go to a local music / dance class at a community center, its only $4 per child incl morning tea and the kids love it.
Thanks for everyones replies!
We've enrolled with Kindermusik (Vic Park) and really looking forward to it.
Sounds like a great decision hun. DD will love it there!

I went to a trial run & it seemed like fun. DD really started to open up by the end of it. Seemed a bit to me like the mum's were doing all the singing & dancing though & the kiddies were running around being kids .
Very expensive too I couldn't justify spending it.
Good luck though they do seem like a worthwhile & fun thing to do!
