View Full Version : Itti bitti - do I buy medium or large?
I'm about to order half a dozen.
I've looked at the info on their web site, and they say if over 9kg and if in doubt, go large.
My baby is almost 9kg, with skinny legs.
I've got a medium itti which fits snugly (well) on the legs, but I would rather buy the large so they last longer.
Can anybody who has both a medium and a large tell me if there's any significant difference on the leg holes between sizes?
Thanks so much.:)

DS2 is 7.5kgs with skinny legs and he fits into the large just do up the snaps tighter.
We use the itti bitti d'lish snap ins
Cool. Thanks.
I've got a sewn in, which I've found good.
are the snap ins the same (outside of snapping in, of course...). Sorry, that sounds silly :o - you know - is there other benefit?

i like how it snaps in because it dries quicker because you can out the liners in the dryer and just hang the shell out. i usually put the liners outside for a few hours in the sunshine after they come out of the dryer to kill the bugs and get rid of the smell.
The snap-ins come with 2 liners.. one is a rectangle that gets folded over to make 3 layers and the 2nd is a single layer that looks like a menstral pad (sorry for lack of better description) both get snapped in seperatly so you can choose how much absorbancy you need/want
Thanks for that! I understand now - a bit like BBH with the two liners.
I'll get the snap ins then as he might need them when gets older (we used both together in the BBH).
Thanks again.:)
Another advantage of the snap-ins is that you can re-use the shell with clean inserts (if they are not dirty). So you can buy extra inserts / liners at half the price of the nappy, easily double your stash that way!
The lady at Itti also told me that the inserts for Snap Ins are slightly more absorbant than the Sewn Ins because it is entirely bamboo, while the Sewn In has microfibre component in it... apparently!

DD is very average weight...9kg at almost 11 months...she has one centre snap exposed in a med (so getting a tight fit) or overlapped by one snap with a large. so she can fit into both nappies but with the large she gets wingdroop big time. i wonder if you can ask to get a 3rd snap put on to cut out the wing droop? and holding up a med and large i feel there is a bit of a size increase! i would order a trial pack personally...i think itti suit narrow waisted chubby thighs? DD is quite average, i think if her legs were chubbier she wouldnt get so much gape around the legs like she does on the snap in. the sewn ins are a much better fit. also i dont find any difference between drying times to be honest! the material inside the sewn in drys fairly quick.

forgot to ad, i also bought extra inserts for the itti but i never used them because i have such a big stash and have plenty of nappies to spare but it would be a good option if you aren't dealing with the newborn runny poos :)

:iagree: My DD is 12months and 9.5kilos and we predominantly use the mediums, the few larges I have are at the bottom of the basket. Although I do prefer the snap-ins and find them more absorbant.
You can always buy a trial pack and ask for one of each size - then you can swop or sell the size you don't want.
Goodluck.
