Okay,
So uhm.. Yes, I am new to this. So this might seem like a dumb question lol.
If I was to purchase an Itti Bitti snap in nappy, does the "snap in" insert come with it? Or do I have to order them separately? I know you can buy them individually as well... just wondering if they come with the nappy when you buy it?

Yep, the snap-in insert set comes with it.
You can buy an additional mini booster which snaps onto the underside of the top booster for an extra few bucks, but the nappies perform really well without them.

Size: i bought DS2 the Large, although he is the weight of the med i have found that i can make them smaller by overlapping the snaps part.
These are my fav MCNs :)

You can also buy a seperate set of snap ins (all of the absorbancy) to use the shell (fluff & waterproofing) again, if it hasn't been soiled, or to use when the shell dries, since it dries at like a fifth of the speed the inserts do!

another snap in question...
How do you go witha wiggly baby/toddler and a snapin at nappy change verses the all in one?
is it more difficult?
Oh also hygienically wise is a snapin better coz it can be pulled apart verses having the padding in the middle layered?

DD2 is 5.8kgs..
I was thinking of getting medium. DD1 is 10kgs, but I don't know if it would fit around her waist. I might have to take some measurements tomorrow and see how we go. I don't think my children are going to grow too big as both myself and DH are small. I might go for medium and maybe a couple large just incase?

I'm pretty sure the snap in goes on before you put the nappy on? (ie you snap the insert on and then put on the nappy?)
I think the idea of the snap ins is for drying purposes as well? I think if you sun either type there is no difference? Not 100% on that, though..

I did see that.. and that's partly what drew me to them lol.
Ugh. I wish I could test out sizing on DD before I purchased some :( I want to buy in bulk cos I am too impatient to buy one, test it and buy others! LOL
I only have 5 greenkids at the moment and am dying to get my children into cloth asap.
You can also buy spare snap in bits. I have about 6 spare sets as the outer bit dries quicker then the snap in padding. (Within a few hours) So in theory this way you don't need buy as many. For example I usually wash of an evening, by morning the outer bit is completely dry so I snap in the spare padding....that night they get washed again, then next morning the padding from the previous night goes in..
I'm not always that organised, but you get the drift. I have about 15 Ittys about 6 spare sets of padding, and half a dozen or so assorted other nappies and thats more then enough to get away with washing every couple of nightsor so if I'm being slack. And 99% of the time he's in Ittys.
DS is fairly light framed, about 8.6kg at 10mths and can still get away with the small size ones just, Mediums overlap by one snap. If that helps at all with sizing
I LOVE his Ittis:goodvibes:

I have an itti all in one. bubs is was almost 11months and a bit over 10kgs.
I bought the Large. I tried them over a disposable in the store (they said it was ok).
I think the M wouldve lasted not long at all even though the weight range is up to 12kg I think. The Large doesnt look big at all, still looks quite fitted.
Also because like with his clothes I buy that bit bigger as they just grow soo fast.
Is there a store near you that sells them? I got mine from baby haven. Its the only mcn they sell (and the best ive seen yet) for the price

There's a cloth nappy store near me that is only open weekdays from 10am to 2pm or somethign ridiculous like that. I can only get there by car, and seeing as I don't drive, DH works during the day!
Well, I figure DD2 is only 4 months old. I might measure her and DD1 and see what the difference is. and maybe make an assumption on that..

What about checking out Monkeys Undies or Buy for Baby and purchase one second hand? Then if you like the fit you can buy a bulk new pack. :)

DH is a moron. ANd seeing as he (and I) are only new to cloth, he thinks I am stupid to want to try a used one!

oh also if you buy from ittibitti.com.au and use the coupon EXPO at checkout you get 15% off and free delivery for orders over $50 until this sunday midnight. I think they will be running the same special late june for 2 weeks as well.
bubs bday is coming up and ive decided to get a big lot with the help of rellies I reckon I will round up the dollars. Brings the nappies down to about $21ish each (for the 12 pack+1 free lot), and i think around $25 each for the 6 pack

Not stupid at all ... it's called being smart and showing him they have a resale value! :D
Remind him you are saving money as the fit may not be right and this way you aren't outlaying as much money .. :p

Would u be looking at a extra small, small or medium do u think?
I got censored for referring to another forum (sorry mod) but there are lots of places to buy secondhand nappies, maybe do a search on something simple like secondhand ittis or something like that. that way you could checkout resale value and maybe get a bargain
