T-bear ~ I'm doing ok, DD has been an easy baby thankfully. Although she a bit grizzly this morning. I was a Western suburbs girl when in Adelaide, i miss the city. All our family & friends are there.

M2T ~ Hi hun, how are you & the twins going? We should try to catch up soon.

AFM ~ I can't believe my DD is now 6 weeks old, i just don't know where that time went. My DD is bulking up nicely now & is 3.5kg at last weigh. We have our 6 week check-ups on Friday, hopefully her pead will be happy with her progress.

Hi everyone!!

Just got back from my appointment with CYH. Maddison had to have her hearing checked at she only passed one ear when they did it in the hospital so they had to use the other hearing machine that went to her brain and this time both ears passed which im so thrilled about :-) They also weighed them and Maddison is now 3530g (was just over 3kg a week ago) and Lucas has now gone over the 3kg mark... he weighs 3030g (was 2770g a week ago) Im so happy with this!!!

How is everyone else going?

I’m an Adelaide mummy from the North Eastern suburbs.

My DH and I finally got a good night’s sleep last night so I have more energy today. We decided to use a dummy last night for the first time because William has been very grizzly at night. I think he had an upset stomach the past couple of days because my milk has only just come in. Before last night, I'd only managed a couple of hours sleep a day.

Hope all the other Adelaide mummies are doing well.

Yeah, i'll be going. Not sure of the actual start date as yet for it, waiting for letter to be sent out. Just ring up CYH & ask about attending it & they should send you the info for it.

Hi Girls

I'm a March mummy, just my bubba was born on 31 March so technically I shouldn't be in this thread but I am from Adelaide, and would love to chat to some other Adelaide mummies.

Hi There!!

I too am an Adelaide mummy! My DS was born on the 27th of May so he's a freshie! He had IUGR which we were all unaware of until his birth, he weighed 2.21kg (4lb 14oz) and had some troubles with feeding - ended up with an NG tube and gavage feeds for a few days. But we're home now and BF well, it's a lot more challenging than I thought but I'm perservering because I know it's best for my bub.

It's my first bub and DH and I are totally in love with him!! (Except his sleeping patterns :P)

Looking forward to chatting with you all :)

Hello!

I'm an Adelaide mum. My little man arrived 5th June and he was 8 days late. Very happy to finally have him in my arms but it's still all a little surreal.
He's feeding like a little champion, which I'm very pleased about. He's a little confused about day/night but is slowly figuring it out.

MrsLozza - I think I might know you from another forum?? I have the same user name on that one.

Hi Kimmie - yeah that's me :) I didn't know your bub had arrived!! Congratulations :) what did you name him?

Kimmie

Thank you! We named him Joshua Michael.

I ended up being induced on the afternoon of the 4th and he wasted no time and arrived that night.

Congrats Kimmie - love his name :) Glad he decided to make a speedy entry into the world!! (even though he was overdue) How are you coping at home? Today is DHs first day back at work and I'm a bit nervous!! Although Aidan slept 5 hours in a row from 2am til 7am last night so I'm not too tired... we'll see what happens! I'm taking him to the clinic today to see if he's put on any weight and check my feeding etc. How's your little man going?

Hi there, Kimmie, Macroon good to see you here.

Mrs Lozza, congratulations on the birth of your baby. Are you a 1st time mum?

It's nice to see more S.A mums here. I am & so far my DD has been very easy. My DD is having her 1st immuniations Monday, not looking forward to that at all.

Hi I'm an Adelaide mummy.

I already know Dangerkitty......

My old name on here was Mum2Riley......

Don't get on here as much these days though :(

After some initial trouble feeding DD, all seems well now, just fussy at times. Having trouble with day sleeps, but she sleeps well at night.

She gets bad Colic and I think abit of Silent Reflux too.

MrsLozza - We're coping really well at home. I'm much more relaxed here. We had the nurse come out today and weigh him, he's put on 40 grams since leaving hospital so he's obviously feeding fine which is a great relief. He's sleeping well enough at night. I'm getting more sleep than I thought I would, so that's great!
How was your first day at home alone with Aidan? I must admit I'm a little nervous about that myself when DF returns to work. And how did you go at the clinic today, is he doing well?

Hi blue iris - I'm not looking forward to the immunisations. Considering getting DF to handle those!

Mummy2R&K - sorry to hear DD is suffering with colic.

macaroon - I used a dummy last night for bubs for the first time as I thought he may have had an upset belly and he was just using me as a dummy. He went straight to sleep with it.

Blueiris - yes I'm a first time mummy so it's all new to me!! I'm slowly adjusting to my new life and loving being a mummy

Kimmie - great to hear DS has put on some weight! I had a check up with A today too and hes put on 190gm in the week since we've been home. Its nice to get some positive feedback about what we're doing isn't it!?

Hi everyone, we've been a bit quiet in here. I posted this in the other group posts in this section but thought i'd add it here too.

Just thought i'd let you all know that Newidea t.v will be focusing on sleeping all next week.
They'll be having a segment on getting babies to sleep each day.

It's on channel 7 @ 3pm Monday to Friday.

Hi All

I'm a first time Mum in Adelaide. DD was born on April 3rd. The first month or so was awful (well I thought so anyway), but now we are getting used to each other (inc DH). DD is an excellent night sleeper, but I'm trying to get her into a routine during the day. So far today not going so well. It's only been a week since I implemented it, so I'll keep at it. DH likes being awake when its sleep time and vice versa. Anyway, just wanted to say hi and introduce myself.

Me & DH :valentine: & DD :smiliedance:

 congratulations & welcome Tennasee.

I'm also trying to start a routine for my DD too. Sorry to hear the 1st month was rough for you. Ajusting to a newborn isn't easy.
