I have been given a gorgeous woolen nappy cover second hand, Its a generous gift and I appreciate it, only one prob, I'm a bot of a germ-a-phob lol! What is the best way to give it a decent wash with out ruining it?

Also I want to invest in a night nappy to use with it.... any recommendations?

TIA wise women!

you can do a normal wash (not too hot or it shrinks) and add some dettol. They advise not to sun dry too much but the sun is a good killer of germs so the odd occasion is fine it just can interfere with the lanolin. To relanolise it you can find the instructions on the babybeehind page under wool cover care. HTH

:iagree: deffinatly some detol would kil the germs and a day in the sun. I prefer to only handwash wool even that some say you can machine wash on a wool cycle i find andthing hand knitted or that looses shape in the machine. The wool cover is going over the top of a nappy to so its not as if it in difect contact woth bubas bits!
