Hi everyone

it almost looks like I am an exeption to the rule by being a single parents dad.
My wife has seperated from me and left me with my 15 year old sone and my almost 18 year old daughter.
The seperation has been very traumatic for the kids and me and we are now trying to put the bits and pieces back together and start a new life.
I was wondering if there are any other dads in Perth with similar experiences who would be interested in having a chat.

Hi Pete,

I am not a single dad but I just wanted to say Good Luck and good on you for going head on with 2 teenagers!! :eek:

I was a similar age to your son when my parents split up and I can't imagine that my dad would have coped with me at all. I still love him dearly but he would have died!!

Good On You!

Hi Pete;

Well I'm not a single dad either but my hubby was with his son from about the age of 5 years, he was also in the US military which was tough for them as well but they have managed well and his son has grown into a great dad who dotes on his own kids and he says it all due to what his dad has taught him throughout his life and believe me he was a handful as a teen :) we have 2 girls of our own who are 12 & 14 and he still a loving doting dad. All I can say is that although it is tough at the moment it will get better eventually, just remember to keep your heart open to others and your kids will love you for sticking by them in such hard times, good luck with everything and if you would like to chat then feel free to contact me :)
