Hi all. I noticed Bronny-jane's post this morning about a herbal remedy that she recommends (thanks for this), and thought I might start a post bringing together other natural things that people have heard that help with conception, or anyone that's been succesful using something.

I've been TTC for almost a year and just had an early M/C, so I'm just looking for anything that might help at this stage. To kick things off, I've heard green tea is good, and a pharmacist told me that melon was good for the uterus lining.

Do a search online to find the cheapest outlet. Get a 350g tub.

Its apparently very good for lots of things.
You can get it in tablet form or powder, powder is way cheaper but tastes ghastly.
I use "cap -em- quick" to stick the powder inside gel caps 50 at a time).
http://www.vitaminusa.com/capemquf00no.html the place we got them from gave us 1000 gel caps with it.. I'll ask my DP where we got ours from if you are interested.

Im currently having acupuncture once a week and also am taking Chinease Herbal Medicine every night (a concoction of various herbs you drink).

Im just trying to start ovulating after going off the pill (3 months ago).. have been having it for a month now i think... not ovulating yet but I am positive about this type of therapy.. I have used acupuncture before for a wrist problem with great success. This guy I see specialises in fertility.. apparently there have been great results using acupuncture with IVF patients.

Just wanted to say quickly if you are having acupuncture (to help ovulate/regulate cycles) you should ALWAYS be having it in conjunction with herbal medicine, not just alone.

I recently started taking an herbal supplement called ovulex and I really think it is helping. My husband and I have been TTC for almost a year, and I have had really irregular cycles since going off of BC. The herbs seem to have made my cycles longer and more predictable.

I'm definitely thinking of acupuncture as well--those of you who are having it, have you noticed a difference?

I a BIG acupucture fan! I haddnt had AF for 2 months when I went to my acupuncture guy. Told him why I was there and he told me 3 weeks of going twice a week and taking my gross chinese herbs and lo and behold AF came for a visit and I ovulated exactley 13 days after that!

Go the acupuncture!

My first acupuncturist didn't help much but the second one seems to know more about the cause of my long cycles so hopefully we have more success this time. :fingerscrossed:

Just make sure whoever you go to has a background in fertility and comes recommended. Anyone who's in Melbourne - I can recommend a very good one. You probably won't get in until September - but the wait is definitely worth it.

A Maori lady at work told me last night that just planting parsley in your garden works???? She also said not to keep any clutter under your bed!!!

I shouldn't laugh, I actually took the vacuum cleaner out from under the bed & put it in the laundry this morning!!!

Wow, I never knew about the planting parsley - but lucky me, I just planted 16 parsley seedlings on the weekend - 8 flat and 8 curley. :fingerscrossed: that's a good omen!

Vespa - I think your in Perth too, I've been thinking of acupunture, would you recommend the person your seeing?

Yep I'm in Perth. I would definatley recommend him, he is a bit hard to understand but very upfront with what he is doing and why.

As I said before he was great with getting my cycles back on track (another 29 day cycle this month, and I havent been for a while)

And the chinese herbs wont break the bank. Just remeber to ask for a proper reciept if you have Private Health Cover and you will be able to get some money back.
