The Seekrit is out!!!!!

Well .. I"m a little teary writing this ...

Seekrit has had her little baby girl :)


Cobey is now a BIG brother!!!! :smiliedance:

Eva Dorothy arrived today (ironically on Nikki's birthday) at 1.42pm - after a drug free 8 hour labour :D

I'm sure that Nikki will be on as soon as she can to share her birthstory, but both bub and mum are doing well.

Nikki- I'm so happy that you had such a wonderful birth experience, and that you little girl has arrived safely. I hope to see photos soon.

I'm very chuffed. Miss Eva is beautiful. And she's been sleeping lots! I think there's something to this going home early, so peaceful she's not waking up! I'd told everyone from the minute I found out I was pregnant that she'd be born on my birthday. :)

The important things to note - she's 8 lb 4 (1 whole pound heavier than Cobey), 52cm long, 34.5cm head. She was born in water, and into my arms after 8 hours.. I was SURE I wasn't really in labour until I started pushing! :laughing: Cobey's labour was 1 hour of intense contraction on top of contraction without a break - this one was all my doing (waters burst just as she was crowning) and I was having a break in between each contraction. :bee:

Anyway, I'll write a full birth story later when I'm at home (At the moment I'm at in in-laws as my house is just out of the midwife catchment zone)
Speaking of midwives, I cannot speak highly enough about the Ipswich Hospital Midwifery Group Program. They were fantastic, gentle and gave me a stunning birth... Wendy was my midwife and.. oh.. so lovely. If ever you have the chance to be part of this program - take it!!
