how to find a Hospital

Hello Ladies,

I and my husband are planning for a baby ....and in next few months I am hoping to conceive in July....just wanted to know what happens next ...I have a private insurance ...and I want to go to Matter Private....I have heard that it talks too long to get in Matter Private so can go in before I conceive and ask them to book me or and do I have to go to my GP who gives me a referral for a private hospital.

AS SOON AS YOU FIND YOU ARE PREGNANT you need to find an obstetrician. So probably ask around now to see who is good. I went to North West Private so can't help you there. But I had to call 4 different Obs til I got one who would take me on. They book up very quickly. When you find an Ob then go to your GP for a referral to that Dr. Can't see Ob til you have that piece of paper in your hand! After that you only should need to see your Ob. Fee structures are different between Obs as well but they should give you a run down when you call up and book in. My Ob secretary booked me into/ gave me the paperwork for the hospital and i just sent it off.
