what do the doctors use to test for pregnacy and can i buy it at the chemist

You can buy a home pregnancy test from the chemist (its just a urine test). If you think you could be pregnant Id see your doctor anyway - just to be sure!! If you do a home test and its positive definately go to your doctor to confirm.

I used the 'Confirm' home test. When I went to the doctor she didn't bother doing a urine test, she just took my word that the test was positive and sent me for blood tests. She also said that some of the home pregnancy tests are better than the ones doctors use anyway.
You can buy the home tests in the supermarket also, usually a few $$$ cheaper than in the chemist..and you can sneek it in with your groceries if you don't want people to get suspicious ;)

Hi Guys,

Just thought that I would let you know. I found pregnancy tests on ebay for a lot cheaper than the chemist (I bought 10 tests for the price of one chemist one!) I have not used one yet (Going to test for the first time in the morning!!!! :D ) but they have an internet site for questions!
