Does anyone have any ideas on what to mix with lentils for a yummy dish?
Can 7 month old babies have lentils? ....Also how old until babies can start eating fish?
Your bub sure can eat both Fish and Lentils! (Very good for babies, both those foods) I have a few good dishes to use lentils in (will try and find them)!
Oh and to answer your questions babies can have lentils and fish from 6 months of age!

Easy Lentil Soup
200gm shredded ham pieces
1 - 2 tins of lentils (you can use dried lentils if you wanted, you will have to cook them first though)
5 cups of chicken stock (salt reduced)
3 tbspn salt reduced butter/margerine
1/2 cup grated carrot
1 small onion chopped (optional)
Place all ingredients into a large saucepan and bring to the boil over a medium heat!
Allow to then simmer for 15 - 20 mins. Then set aside to slightly cool.
Then blend ingredients to a puree consistency!;)
Lentil Patties
1 c dry lentils, well rinsed
2½ cups water
1 tbspn olive oil
½ medium onion, diced
1 medium carrot, diced
½ tspn pepper and ½ tspn salt (optional)
1 tspn soy sauce, optional
¾ cup rolled oats, finely ground
¾ cup bread crumbs
Place the lentils, water, and salt in saucepan, bring to a boil, lower heat, cover, and simmer for about 45 minutes, until water is nearly gone and lentils are very soft, with splitting skins.
Sauté the onion and carrot in oil until soft, about 5 minutes.
Mix the lentils, onions, carrots, pepper, and optional soy sauce in the large bowl, then mix in the ground oats and bread crumbs.
While still warm, form the lentil mixture into patties, which can now be frozen, refrigerated (for up to 5 days), or cooked immediately.
Cooking (2 possibilities):
1. In a frying pan, heat a bit of oil, place a burger on top, and fry until brown,
1-2 minutes. Repeat on other side and serve.
2. In a 400º oven, bake the burgers on a greased baking sheet until light
brown, about 15 minutes

i just wack alot of veges in this dish as DD2 refusing to eat them at the moment.
capsicum, zucchini, potato, grated carrot, onion, fresh basil, garli and lentils (i buy the ones in the can, rinse and strain)
cook with mince like ur making spag bol.
cook garlic and onion
add mince
chop all veges (normally do spuds first as they take longer)
add all
add in 2 tins diced tomatoes
1 tin of tomato puree
add 2 cans of water
i normally let this cook really slow so all the flavours combine, so normally on stove on low for at least an hour and i serve this with rice! :D
