Hello!

I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on some quick natural energisers for tired, broken sleep, fully breastfeedin mumma (hense eating bubba at night time)..I don't tend to eat anything sugary.. coffee etc.. but last night made mistake of taking 3 sips of my hubby's energy drink and low and behold! I had a chatty, dancing energetic bouncy baby on speed all night long.. Is the only answer to continue along the natural eat well, exercise moderatly etc path?
9months of pregnancy..7months of beautiful bubba and i've been doing well, but am slowling starting to tire.. any ideas on some special treats for mum to boost energy, but won't cause bubs to jolly jump all night?

a meditation session does wonders for your energy levels, get a tape with a 10 minute guided meditation,, or longer ones as well , just closing your eyes and being still ,giving yourself some quiet time ,not thinking about anything, gives u a chance to listen to your body and restore yourself.

Have you tried multi vitamin supplements? I take the Blackmores pregnancy and breastfeeding formula and think it's great! I find on the days I forget to take it I feel extremely drained and unmotivetd :( so try to make it the first thing I do when I get up in the morning. Worth a go if you're not on anything already!

I take a multi vitamin, I take an "Executive B" formula, so it's got lots of B vitamins. I definitely feel better since starting to take these (about 4 weeks ago) and I'm not stressing about eating right, if I only have time for toast for lunch then at least I know that the multi vitamin is keeping me "healthy" so to speak.

I just went to my local health food store and said "hello, i'm breastfeeding and also have a 4 yr old, i'm so tired i might fall asleep on your counter right now, please do you have anything I can take to give me more ener... "

Thanks guys.. i've read about B vitamins. I think i'll go on the lookout..I studied Naturopathy a year ago and they stated vitamin pills were dangerous or some a waste of time as your body is taking so much of one thing and can overcompensate in other areas to balance your body (I guess they meant vitamins of one kind).... so I steered clear.. but I think it's different when you breastfeed so much goes to bubs..I guess it's a matter of finding the right supplement like you have all mentioned....B vitamins for me... does it get easier when you have a second baby?? ha ha..

You're right about the meditation.. I practised ashtanga yoga alot before preggas now I have to really push myself to do a session late at night or get up before bouncy baby awakens.. it's worth the effort when I do it.. it does make me feel better.. there is an element of meditation in yoga through the breathing so it's great.. rightio.. yoga and B vitamins ..i'll be joining my bouncy baby.
