Dear Bubhubbers,

Please help bub is due in a couple of days and we still haven't quite locked in our choice of name.

Our shortlist is:

Makenna
Emilyn
Emerson
Keelin
Eloise

The middle name will be Jo after her grandfather and our last name is Martins.

Let me know what you think of these names and I am open to any suggestions for other girls names. I am trying to avoid the really popular girls names.
Thanks

i think makeena goes best with those names.

but wanted to add, don't worry if you don't have a name picked out! first she may not come on her due date, second, you have 60 days to name her and send in the registration forms, maybe you should wait till she's born and see which one she looks like. =]

I voted Eloise (very pretty). I also like Emilyn. I think Emerson sounds a bit masculine for a girl though.

Good luck with your decision, you will know when you see her what her name should be.

I like Emilyn Jo Martins:D. I did like Makenna, however that's 3 masculine names in a row. I'd give her a feminine name. I was going to have Emily, so I really like Emilyn.

DH and I had 3 names picked out and decided early on in our pregnancy that we would wait until bub came out to see which name suited her the most. Within 30 seconds of her being born, we both knew she should be called Jessica.
By the way. I think Makenna is a great name:yes:

I voted Eloise

The others are a bit too masculine for my taste, reminds me of several English soccer players actually (Jeff McKenna, Emlyn Hughes, Emerson and Kevin Keegan..) Sorry.. just my opinion of course and I'm sure in Australia not many people have heard of these players!

Thank you all for your input and I too certainly hope that when we see little bub for the first time - we will know.

Frocky - that's pretty uncanny and no I had never heard of any of these soccer players.

Seems that we tend to go for the slightly more masculine names - I really like Chloe Jo also but DH has said no to that one.
