Just wondering if anyone has CC when bub is still wrapped? I have tried getting DD off to sleep unwrapped and it isn't working whatsoever. So it's easier to wrap her until she seems ready etc. Will CC still work? She does wriggle her arms out of the wrap at times - when CC do you bother to re-wrap? Because this involves probably picking up and giving attention wasn't sure such a good idea to re-wrap? I haven't started CC yet with her, want her to be past the 6mth mark and am getting good food and bed time routine going at the moment.

I would say give up all sleep aids, which in my humble opinion include wrapping a 6 mth old baby, also a dummy, feeding to sleep...

just what I think..

we used a Peke Moe sleep sack when we transitioned from the wrap. It was good as I knew that he was covered up and could leave him for a wee while having a cry but knowing he was still cosy and not kicked off the blankets or not have the wrap up around his head or anything! good luck!

Thanks - I use a swaddle me wrap (lge size of course...lol) which is ok. Had convo with CHN (wasn't happy with any CC techniques I was finding as I wanted something not too soft going but not overly hardcore either) and had first night of CC last night. Still wrapping her as it is a cue to DD that it is bedtime. Seems to have worked fine. I don't mind wrapping her still - I did try a sleepbag but she hated it.

We do wrap and have a 'soft' CC approach. works fine for us.

Give them all the comforts they need - you can wean them off later when they can self-settle

My DS would always get his hands out of his wrap when I did CC. I changed to a sleeping bag. At first they find it strange but also now my DS can lie in bed, playing with his hands and go to sleep when he's ready. He's 5.5 months.
