Hello, I only stumbled on this site today.

I've been TTC for almost 3 years. Went to the docs today to get a certificate for sick leave, as I've been fevery, headachy, just generally lethargic, and blocked up to boot.

New doc i saw was really thorough with tests and decided to do alls sorts of tests including a HPT, now i've all ut given up on this stuff, as we'd booked an appt at a fertility clinic in a few months.

So....as doc is chatting nurse mentions that i have a faint pos, doc says try again and next test is neg, nothing more mentioned, and me too shocked to even comprehend that pos may well mean pos despite the neg.....move forward a few hours, decided to test at home with my final HPT and thats a faint positive too....am due for af sat/sun

I'm scared, but a little excited and will be going to get a more current HPT tomorrow to check it out...any thoughts?

I know nothing about the tests..I only ever did one, and it was a positive..wasn't a very strong line, but it was defintely a bubby!
I just wanted to say...Good luck  I hope it is a positive.

Try using a First Response test with firt morning urine. They are very sensitive and we all figure that what they tell us is law. Best of luck.

I've found a lot of doctor's use less sensitive tests.

I would buy a couple different brands and try first thing in the morning. I had two very faint positives with my second child using some home tests (was barely pregnant, but knew I was) and when I went to the GP he did two tests and they both came up negative.

Good luck! :)

The HPT i had at home was the confirm brand, which was also a faint pos.
I am waiting for the shops to open to go and get a few other brands lets hope i see more of...:bfp:.

Oh, that's wonderful!!! Congratulations!

If its any help, all my early pregnancy tests with all 4 of my children (and the 1 I just lost) were so faint that I thought the light was playing tricks on my eyes. I'd say that the reason for the :bfn: yesterday was you we'ed too soon after weeing the first time and your urine wasn't as concentrated. As the girls said, the doctors always use less sensitive tests that we can buy in the supermarket (why, I'll never know!), causing mass anxiety amongst us all.

Do you feel pregnant? I always figure the signs are more important than any test.

Hi,
I don't really know if i do feel pregnant, bb always hurt after ovulation, but (at risk of tmi) my cm has been watery to ew for the past week and a half.

Currently have headaches, but not sure if I can call it a sign and i did faint yest, but i put it all down to a flu, which was why i went to the doc, id totally given up on ttc..:)

At the doc, Both pee tests were from the same sample, which was why i came home and tried again, getting the second +ve and it got me thinking that in putting it all together that being pregnant may be the case.

I'm actually worried though that I may have just gotten my hopes up again. Had a chemical pregnancy 2 yrs ago and failed to fall since then.

It sounds to me like you are definitely pregnant

You've had too many :bfp: not to be

Can you not go to your doctor and ask for blood tests to confirm.

A positve is a positive. The best thing to do i to get your doc to do beta -hcg quantative test on your blood over a few days and this will show whether or not you are pregnant. The pregnancy hormone goes up so that wil be the most accurate results you will get to day yes or no if yor pregannt.
