Do you have any book keeping skills? Or hairdressing/beauty? I know a few mums can do that from home. At the moment I am doing a party plan, the company that I chose have no start up costs, as the first few parties that I do pay for my kit... Or there are others that have a low cost start up. Have you thought about babysitting or cleaning, this is something I am also going to start doing to make ends meet... I hope you find something!

A lot of wfhm's find they still need childcare- because they are 'at work', just at home. They have business hours, need to take calls and need to stay focused, motivated and commited to the job... Work time is still work time, and home time is still home time. Then they finish work and 'go home' to the rest of the house, switch off from work, spend time with their children and take on all those other responsibilities! And is it fair for kids to be 'shared' with a job while they are in their very own home? Occupations like cleaning and hairdressing: how would you go with a child at home at the same time? And you can't really take them with you to clean someone's house...
I guess it also depends if you have school age kids, kinder age kids or toddlers.... toddlers being probably the hardest to manage due to lack of understanding of 'mum needs to work now'. Can they be expected to understand? I could imagine them thinking 'but you are still here and I want to play with you'.
I have thought this through and I know that I'm just not disciplined enough.. Although I'm off to read the working-from-home thread for other information!
Good luck!!!
