What days do you O on Clomid??

Hi!!

I am currently on my first clomid cycle since i had my DS in May 08 and a m/c in Feb 09. I am on 50mg days 5 - 9. I am only being monitered by day 21 BT.

I concieved my DS with my first cycle of clomid at 50mgs days 5 - 9 so i have no idea how the clomid effected my cycle length and my m/c pregnancy was natural.

I was just wondering what the average O day has been for some people as i am no good at charting temps and the clomid makes CM non exsistant.

Hi, hope your journey with clomid is short and sweet.

It seems to vary greatly what day we will O on with clomid. I know personally I have O'd from day 16 or so and other months it's taken till day 29 to O.

The majority of people should O within 10days of taking the last tablet. I don't temp but do use ovulation prediction tests that test your urine for the LH surge immediately prior to ovulation. They are inexpensive if purchased over the net or you can buy 7 for @$20 from the chemist or supermarket. I find them an invaluable tool in trying to predict when O is nearing given my erratic cycle even on meds.

Like you I conceived 1st round with my dd so was hard to tell if Ovulation was different.

Though this time I am now on round 3 and 1st round normal Ovulation, 2nd round cd29! very late for me and this round I think I am gearing up for Ovulation very soon going by body signs and hope to see it about cd13/14 as my normal time.
I think it can vary and you might want to use opks' or temps to get a good idea.
I only just this round started temping/charting, a bit confusing and hard to remember to temp but I think it will be well worth it

If not then Do you have other signs that can help you pinpoint Ov? I find I get very sensitive breasts, Ovary pains that come and go and I find Im feeling more amorous lol
Sometimes listening to your body can be enough, and along with OPK's youll know


Also, Might be worth trying pre seed if the clomid is affecting your cm? Just a thought and have read much success of it

I have got some preeseed as well and it helped alot!! Well AF arrived for me today which means i must of ovulated on CD20 which is abit late for me.

Next cycl i am going to try and temp and do opk test, but just curious when i should start testing with opks???? Also where do you buy them off the net??? is it cheaper than a chemist??

Thanks again with all your help and advice as sometimes you can feel all alone as DH is so obliovious to girl issues and all the ins and outs with trying to get that sticky bub.

Hi, sorry to hear you didn't get lucky 1st time. I'm waiting to see if I've been successful on the 1st round too. I seen the FS on CD6 and he started me on them that day (ideally would have been day 5-9 for me as I have long cycles. I O'd on CD18 (was using opk and charting). I use opk's from lullaby conceptions, they are about $11 for 10, and i've have found them to be reliable.

Sorry to hear that round didnt work? How did you go with June's round?

For opk's I buy internet cheapies off ebay and when I think im very close to Ovulation I use better brands to confirm and back up the IC's

Ive still had no luck since, this month am cd3-7 and taking Evening primrose oil to hopefully give me some much needed EWCM and drinking LOADS of water, its suppose to help too... Also taking vitB complex, suppose to help the follies be healthier etc

Im currently cd10 and hope to ovulate about cd15ish..I can feel the niggles in the ovaries already.

Am very happy i went with temping too, it shows me when Ive ovulated and was lucky to even get a temp dip pre ov to show me i was about to.

sorry to hear that you are also still ttc as well.

A no go for June for me as well and due to my long cycles i do not test again till 1 august. I have started to use OPK's and i am doing the same as you, using cheap ebay ones and then backing them up with the more expensive brand.

We have been to see a new FS and he was great. He is one of the top FS from Qld Fertility group and i have heard nothing but good things about him. This cycle he has put me on letrozole or it is also known as Ferma. It is mainly used to treat breast cancer thru hormone treatment but it is starting to be used in fertility treatment. Apparently it has been very successul and it is used widely in the states. I am suppose to take it day 2-6 but when i saw fs i was on day7 and he checked my ovaries and said i had a good folicle growing and to take it from day 7-11 for this cycle only. It was great i had no side effects like i do with clomid but i did get extremly strong O pains and a very dark opks darker than last month when i had ovulated so i am really hoping this is our month. I am currently on cd24 and 4dpo and no symptons as of yet other than sore boobs but that is normal for me after O. I will keep you updated and i hope everything goes well for you this month too. :fingerscrossed:
