It is coming to the time where I need to think about enrolling my boy into a school. There are so many schools in Gawler I just cant make a decision.

Please tell me about your expreience with any of the schools in gawler - private or public.

Good or bad experiences.

I just dont want to enroll them and have to switch schools. I hope for them to stay in the same school from the word go.

thankyou!

Hi, most of the public Gawler schools are closing in the next few years - at least this is what I read in the local messenger newspaper. A new public super school is going to be built after the munno para one which will cater for all year levels from preschool through to yr 12.

We are looking at Trinity in the private sector for our daughter, but our first preference for public is Angle Vale. We're not sure yet if we are eligible until next year. Our daughter is coming up 4 and we want to start her in a preschool program which is attached to a school so that she will start her schooling years with the same children she went to preschool with. At the moment she is in a pre kindy program but the kids and teachers change all the time and she finds this unsettling.

Hi there

Maybe a biased opinion but Trinity is one school which offers so much for a small fee. They are first rate, have a Montessori which is attached and have wonderful teachers ;)

However, you may have left it too late to enrol for the start of your child's education. One board in Blakeview i read said they are currently taking enrolments for 2013 ... eekk

Good Luck with your choice ...... it is a hard one! :flowerz:

Hey are u still looking for schools in Gawler.. I grew up there!! hehe I personally went to Gawler East Primary School and thought it was pretty good. Trinity is the most expensive school in the area. My 2 younger cuz both go to Saint Bridgets and think its fantastic i would highly suggest it. However whatever u do DONT send them to Heweit my cuz both went there before St Bridgets and suffered harassment not only from the children in their classs but teachers aswell.. Do u live in Gawler im there at least 3 times a week.

We've had the decison taken out of our hands, hubby is in the ADF and we've just found out that we are moving interstate before DD starts school at 5 so we're going to enrol her in a public preschool program for next year and then start the school search again in QLD. I never thought picking a school could be so stressful, especially as here the kids can start school at 5 years of age and in QLD they start at 6 years of age.

DH's nieces go to St Brigids, this is the eldests last of year of primary and will be going to Xavier next year, I think you've made a great choice in schooling for the boys.
I had private schooling, and look how I turned out.......:laughing::laughing: so maybe not.
