Just wondering what others in QLD are doing in regards to taking kids to school and kindy etc with all the flooding being unpredictable???

Flood waters on the road receeded here yesterday evening, so we can get out, but I'm a bit worried that if I take him this morning and we have the rain we had yesterday that I may not be able to get out in the arvo...

Yesterday midday we were lucky to get through, roads were flooding but we made it through going up the middle of the road....

DS wants to go, we actually have sunshine out here amongst the grey sky..just worried

Any thoughts on this one? what are you doing, same as every other day or????

The forcast is Thunderstorms all day today, but there's no mention of the rain being like yesterday, however, the severe weather warnings are still there.

I called DSs school asking if it was open adn they'd been advised the weather looks like it will turn ugly again alter in the day however my way to DSs school will be clear basically no matter what happens so I have decided to send him. If should the rivers rise/roads get flooded quickly where you are I probably would keep your DS home. It's up to you what you do I'd call the kindy/school and ask their advice but go with your own gut feeling too.
