Lower back pain and leg pain

Just wondering if any one can help. I am 19 weeks pregnant with my first and have developed bad pain that doesn't seem to be gettign better. It is right down at the base of my spine and radiates to my left leg. It is uncomfortable to sit and the best place to be is to lie down. I am finding it hard to do every day tasks.
Pleae any one who can offer any advice I would be grateful.

Sounds like sciatica to me. Nasty business. I alternated ice packs and heat packs. It was enough to get me through the day.

i have hot baths too, its relaxing as well:D

Thanks for the info. Have been using heat packs but will try ice packs.
I have spent last day or so lying on couch for relieve.
