I have *cough* over 50 now.

My bub is 14 months and seems to need changing less these days maybe 20 would cover it, but then if you only wash every 2 days, you need a day to dry so you may need more.

I wash daily and hang them on a clothes horse each night inside or on patio and in the morning they go out in the sun for the day.

I honestly dont need as many as i have but cant stop buying them (i have a number on order to) i buy them to match her clothes, becuase there cute, because the cheap, and well...just because!

I also have terry flat i use. So maybe if you are starting on cloth have terry flats while you build up your stash, they are quick to dry, cheap to start out with and are fine for around home when you can change as needed.

I have 30 pockets I made.

But it's really too many.. I think about 20 would be ideal.

I use about 7 nappies a day. So 20 would give me 2 days worth with a few over for safety.

i have about 30 at the moment. plus some more material to make more.

i usually wash every 2-3 days and if it is wet like this week has been i toss the inserts in the dryer and leave the pockets next to the dryer so they can get the warm air on them. helps them to dry faster.
my fleece pockets i chuck in the dryer as there is no pul in them so it is fine. - they just get heaps of fluff on them.


i also have a few eenee's that i use with terry flats folded up inside. they are my backup nappies. so i could probably go all week without washing if i wanted too.

Are you in Brissy? We've had nonstop rain for 2 days now! My nappies are on the clothes horse inside but I think I'm going to have to resort to the dryer to finish them off!

2 Cushie Tushie Coutures
2 Baby Bullfrogs
2 GreenKids (but we don't really use them)
1 Peapods (don't use this either)

So 21 day nappies that we use all the time (24 including the PP and GK) plus 3 night nappies. I was every other day with that many for one in cloth.

I also have 1 bonnibuns & 2 fluffy bubs night nappies & 1 bonnibuns swimming nappy.

I usually wash daily, and still sometimes get caught out if we have bad weather for a few days in a row as I don't like to put them in the dryer.


These are mostly OSFM with a few meds in there, so I expect to get lots of use out of them once the new bub comes as he'll be in them too. Then I'll need to get more as that's def not enough for 2 :D
