View Full Version : negative itti bitti shopping :(
i bought 15 nappies last week from them on thursday and opted to pay by credit card... i got a invoice saying they will call me for credit card details.
i still havent heard from them. i paid extra for express post and it was pointless.
i will call them today but its not the point.
is this normal when dealing with itti bitti nappy co?
i hope not, coz i LOVE itti bitti...

I also had a negative buying experience last week. Apparently she is really busy, but i was quite dissapointed by the phone calls. I was first told that they couldn't process the order and that they would ring back if they found someone who could take the order... I'd already been waiting a week to finally get through to them... she then told us on the phone she simply doesnt have time to place an order and ring back another week. When I said not to bother ill try another company she got annoyed, took the details and the money but said it wouldnt be processed until this week. Ill be waiting for the post to arrive

:( That's not good - and no, it's not normal. Usually they have extremely fast - and helpful - service. I've been so happy with them every single time I've dealt with them (about 4 in total now).
Re: the express post thing - She DOES make it fairly clear that that refers to the time from when the nappies leave the warehouse to when they get to you - NOT how long it takes to process the order. Not that that's an excuse for slow service, but...just thought I'd put it out there.
yeah - i uderstand the express post thing - she does make it clear about that... but i would have imagined that i should have had a call by now to take my payment! i would have paid another way if i knew how long things would take.
like, on the invoice or on their website at checkout BEFORE you confirm the order, if they are busy, they could at least have a paragraph saying that due to high demand all orders are taking longer to proces than usual so please be patient and your order will be processed wihtin 14 days or something...??

YMo7 I sooo Love your little bubs pic!!! it is soo gorgeous!!
But back to the itti bitti's lol that is a real shame that your going through such a drama. I bought my first itti bitti last week from a local baby store - they are soo cute :)
Maybe when you talk to them next cancel the express part and ask for a refund of the express $$ - I mean whats the point of paying extra so that it gets to you in 1 or 2 days after leaving the warehouse instead of 3 or 4 days when it takes 2 weeks to get from the warehouse to the post office
I would definetely request that part of my money back.. hehe.. but thats just me.. every dollar counts.

Itti bitti were at the baby expo in sydney so maybe she travelled away for it and is the reason for the delay?

YM07- I ordered 5 itti bittis online on Wednesday and paid for them on the day via paypal. I didn't pay the express shipping and they arrived to me yesterday, so only 2-3 working days from when I ordered. I would definitely be asking for the extra postage money back.
Sorry to hear about your bad service. I have never delt with them on the phone and have only paid via paypal right away.
They are great nappies, but it's such a shame that people may be turned off buying them if the service is slow!
I'm trying to think of how I paid for my Itti Bittis from their website (I got my 6 pack from NN when they had a great hunt discount). I'm pretty sure I paid by credit card, but then I may have done it through my paypal. I didn't need a phone call to process the credit card though. :detective:
Sorry to hear you had bad service. Hopefully they get on top of things soon!
I have never had a problem with itti bitti I always pay with my credit card and its processed immediatly I have never had to have a phone call.
I hope that you get it sorted asap
Itti bittis are awsome nappies

did you know that there is an expo special for two weeks after any of the expos? you just quote EXPO at checkout and get 15% off and free shipping. And a 15 pack gets you 3 free extra nappies. Might be worth mentioning, Sue is really nice, I just met her at the expo on Saturday;)
thx. i spoke to a lady called judith. she also emailled me so i replied to ask her. we'll see. :)
maybe u could help with something else too?
- i bought some mini boosters when i paid today aswell to use the nappies overnight. she said if i do that most people use wool covers too but they dont sell them. i have no experience with these. please help? where do i get it from? whats the average cost? are they made of wool? do they wash the same? etc....

YMO7- Baby Beehinds are clearing out their old style wool covers for $15. I ordered 2 last week and they are fantastic. My bubs is 5.9kg at the moment and I ordered the large size and they fit well, so I wouldn't both with the medium or small imo.
thx. i just ordered 2 large wool covers. now these obviously go over a normal mcn for night?
i read u can re-use.... wash fortnightly. that sounds gross... help?

Yep you just need to wash them if they get soiled (pooey) or when they start to smell. I put them in to wash with my other nappies on just a warm or cold wash. I think I will be washing mine on atleast a weekly basis, just because I kinda feel it would be yucky, but each to their own :o
And I have just figured out how to lanolise them which was easy as. I think you only need to do it after maybe 2 washes or so, but I am not sure. I have been doing it after each wash at the moment. Lanolising them helps make them waterproof.
Just dissolve some lanolin (nipple cream) in a few cm of boiling water, then top up with cold water till its all cool and pop the wool cover in for a couple of hours and line dry as normal. Sounds harder than it actually is ;)
