I was just having a shower when I started thinking....(Hmmm that can be dangerous) When I have a shower these days I put DS (8mths) who's not crawling yet into his swing, I have found this easiest as he is strapped in and the swing keeps him amaused the longest...But what about when he starts walking....LOL...
Where will I put him while having a shower..?

Girls what do you do with your bubs when you have a shower?

My duaghter is going on 20mths old and running around everywhere. What I usually do when I have a shower (we have an ensuite) that I shut our bedroom door and let her play in our room so I can see her or hear her while I am scrubbing my self clean.

Thats the easiest thing I have found as my daughter only has one sleep in the afternoon that I couldn't wait that long to have a shower while she is asleep.

I put him in the creche at the pool! I swim laps most days, and shower after that.

I put Brion in his walker in our bedroom and shut the door. That way he can't climb into the toilet, or into the shower fully clothed!:smiliedance: Sometimes I put him in the poracot in our room with some toys and he has a play in there while I have my shower.

DS sits in his highchair watching Hi-5 while I have my shower... I put the baby monitor on so I can hear him... He loves Hi-5 and I can shower in peace and take a little extra care...

I shower last thing at night before I go to bed. So its a moot point because DD has been in bed for several hours by that stage!

DD is nearly 11 months old, I do one of two things when I have a shower:

- I put her in her highchair with a dried breadstick/baby muesli-bar and let her go for her life whilst watching my in the shower (and waving to me an awful lot...).

or

- I just leave the bathroom door open, close all the other doors in the house and let her roam around. She doesn't leave the bathroom because she doesn't like to be on her own. She'll normally just play with the shower curtain by playing peek-a-boo with it.

I took DS into the shower with me most of the time...our shower was over the bath until we moved just after DS turned 1. Once we moved we had a seperate bath, I just ran DS a shallow bath and put him in there while I showered. I could see him from the shower (glass screens) and he had been playing in the bath at my feet for months so I knew he would be fine in a shallow bath...he always ended up playing in a deep one after I had showered, while I got dressed, and never had a problem.
Now we are back in a really old house and the shower is over the bath again...DS is again showering with me most mornings, and quite often I will bring DD in with us after I have washed myself, she can't sit yet so I need to hold her.

I usually have a shower last thing at night before I go to bed so dd of course has been asleep for a while.

If I have a shower first thing in the morning I just tell her what I am doing and she will either watch tv or jump in the shower with me. I shut the external doors so she can't get out and the house is pretty much child proof so she has free rein.

There are a few places in the house that she knows that she is not to touch, like pretty things in the display cabinet and so far she hasn't investigated whilst I have been in the shower so the constant no's must have worked.

Btw she is 3yrs old now and this has been working since she started walking at 16 mths.

I usually don't have a shower until night time or when Hayley goes down for her afternoon nap, but if I have to have a shower while shes awake I bring her into the bathroom with me with a few toys. :)

If I have to have a shower during the day I either do it while she is having a nap or I will put Little Einsteins on and put her on the couch and she won't move until the credits roll. But I mostly try to shower when DH is home and he can watch her.
