Hi everyone,
I just had a look through some old posts, regarding having no.5 baby. I have 5 and my youngest is 7 months old tomorrow. I have been wanting another for approximately the past 4-6 months i think lol. On the one hand, I feel crazy and as though it is a slightly dangerous prospect to have another one so soon, but then I think of so many women that I have read about that seem to come through more pregnancies unscathed (Well, you don't hear anything negative). Just curious as to what you all decided and whether you had to face making the decision based on health issues? I'm having trouble making the choice because i'm too busy listening to the people closest to me tell me it is a really bad idea. My Mum is really concerned for my body and health, so I know she is saying it with love, but the others I know would just criticise and make jokes. I too want to be done by 30; That's in 4 years time. I also have the romantic idea of having 3 more, so there is 8 of them, although I don't think my man would be too keen lol. Any opinions? Thanks:)

I really think you 'just know' when your family is complete.

What does your partner think about having another?

Hi,
My husband is definitely good for at least (and possibly at most!) one more baby. He still has no son, as my son is from a previous relationship, so that is a small part behind his motivation. Concerned more about the health side of things, as I have (and hope this isn't tmi) a mild cystocele/bladder prolapse, which since being diagnosed in 2007, does not appear to have changed or worsened, even after bub no. 5's birth. I also had a small haemorhage after her birth. I average 2 years between bubbies, but the last 2 were closer together. I know 30 isn't old, but I guess in the scheme of things maternal, it is older, egg-wise, so I guess I'm in panic mode, like time is almost up lol. I think I am also worried what my family will say, because I was young when I had the first and so none of my pregnancies have been celebrated initially, until things are in progress and there's no going back, by any of my family members. When my sister was pregnant with her first, at 30, everyone was ecstatic. I still haven't even worked out why I would like so many kids, like I have to justify it or something! Anyway, I'm :ecomcity: too much now, sorry:)

i think for me... that health dictates it.

for me 5 is definately enough.. i had my tubes tied in the last c/section

you are much younger than me though.

do whatever it is you feel is right.

if i was your mum, considering your health probs, i would advise you against it too.

i wouldnt want you to be incontinent

That's not very nice of them! :(
You and your partner are the best judges of how many kids you should have. If your health is am issue then maybe talk to your GP about the risks another pregnancy and birth might pose and then decide after that.
