4 minute showers - Do you do it and is it enough?

A four minute showers do you do it and is it enough?

It is if I don't have to wash my hair. When I wash my hair it takes about 9-10 minutes (too long I know, but I just can't seem to do it faster)

Is it enough time for you?

I can't manage 4 minutes as my hair is now long and takes ages to wash. However, I don't shower every day, so it kind of works out to 4 minutes if I was showering every day.

I'm absolutely terrible with showers.

If I'm washing my hair, they take about 10 minutes or so.. luckily I only wash my hair once a week or so.

I can do it in a few minutes, although with DS usually in there with me it takes ages. I love a hot shower on a cold day too and they can take 15-20 minutes :o

Yes I have short showers. I only take up the whole 4 mins if I need to wash my hair and shave. If all I need to do is wash it takes probably 2mins :)
DD takes a bit longer because I comb her hair with the conditioner in and thats a bit off effort I could turn the tap off while Im doing it but then she would freeze.

Mine are always within 4 minutes. I have one of those 4 minute egg timer shower things and often I'm done in about 3 minutes. If I wash my hair (every 3 days) I use the full 4 minutes.

but i do suffer back pain and find myself standing under it heating up my back :o

I will skip a day if I need to wash my hair or shave so I get 8 minutes. But generally I can do it.

I also figure you get 8 minutes if there is two people in there:D

Shower in under 4 min is easy.

I get in, shampoo, condition, soap body, rinse head and body, do face and I am done.

To shave I fill a bucket and to it that way.

I also don't do morning showers, only night. In the morning I just wash my face to brighten myself up.

I shower and wash my hair nearly every day and 4 mins is heaps. If I'm shaving, I put water in a bucket and use that instead of doing it in the shower.:D

Well I am one that has to wash my hair everyday as it gets oily really easily. But yes 4mins is plenty of time to wash myself and wash my hair. Depends on how I feel maybe once a week I will shave my legs and other region if not I will do my legs in the basin. :)
I too like to stand under the hot shower, it relaxes me.

When washing my hair, I turn off the water whilst applying shampoo and conditioner to my hair. So even though my shower takes 7 mins or more, the water is only on for about 4 mins.

Edit: with a baby or child in with me, it takes longer, but my 4 mins plus their 4 mins makes 8 mins we're allowed. (Though it'll go over that sometimes; children can be finicky when they want to.)

I have no idea how long my showers are but i think its a pretty good guess that they are longer than 4mins.

I should add that my plumbing is awful. On more than one occasion I have had a shower where only one tap works at a time.

I don't, but I usually shower with DP... and so I figure that gives us 8 mins in total. I'm pretty sure we use no more than that most nights.

easy done. When washing my hair yea 4 mins other nights I can shave where I have to and wash in 2 mins

Nope. I usually have a nice long ten minute shower twice a day. Sometimes it is my only vice.

I don't do anything that requires showering everyday. if I was working in a mine or as a zoo keeper or a gardener, yes, I would have a need to shower everyday.

Otherwise it's a shower afterwards or before... and we're poor and paying for the water here... definitely not going to use more than we need to! :p

Sure but that doesn't require a shower wasting water to get clean. One flannel and a sink of water does the trick.

Usually it's around 4 mins, I play my ipod dock and can usually shower from start to finish of 1 song. Sometimes I may go a little over, but not by much. Now that it's getting colder I prefer to just get in and out as fast as I can.

Mostly 4 minutes is enough. We've got a timer in the shower so we know when our time's up. If i'm washing my hair (only every 2nd day) i turn the water off while i'm conditioning and shave my legs and underarms at the same time.

Oh this is my guilty indulgence too! Winter mornings in a nice hot shower and I can't resist!

No. I have to wash myself, DS and DD...we don't take long actually in the shower, but organising towels, drying people off, wiping the water off the floor...there's half an hour right there!

But we're quick as we can be in the water :yes:

I'm a naughty girl with my showering :shame: I often have a sore back, and the shower is one of the few places I can get some time out, so I admit I'm in there a bit long, maybe 10 minutes :o

I just love to let the hot water run down my sore back. We do have a water efficient shower head, so does that count? :laughing:

wash hair and shave legs twice a week, that usually takes about 10 minutes.

one or two days a week I don't even have a shower, especially in winter when my skin is so dry.

other days I'm in and out in about 2 minutes.

I am very very bad then.

I have 3 showers daily and they are at least 10 mins each. eeep. I am a clean freak plus my shower takes about 3 minutes to warm up. Then it goes hot cold hot constantly so i am constantly jumping in and out.
