Now the back story is that I am trying to be more environmentally friendly. :D

I just bought some material wipes when I bought my first lot of cloth nappies. What I want to know is how do you use them?

Do you just wet them with water?
Do you keep a tub of water by the change table?
How many times do you use it before you chuck it in the wash?
Where do you store it?

Questions! Questions! So many questions.... :dizzy:

I have a load of facewashers that are dedicated bum wipes. They live (dry) on the shelf on the change table. At the start of the nappy change, I wet 3 or 4 of them, use them, and chuck them in the nappy bucket to be washed with the nappies.

I have a heap of face washers that I keep (dry) in the hall cupboard. On my way to change a nappy, I grab a couple (depending on what's in the nappy ;)) and wet them with warm water. Then I chuck them in the nappy bucket to be washed with the nappies.

I kept a pile of wipes (dry) on a high shelf with a small container of water & QV wash to wet wipes as needed.

I use microfleece nappy liners as wipes. In most cases they work well dry (my bub is only 3m and fully BF doing easy to clean runny poos). Occasionally I find the need for them to be wet (if the poo has dried on her skin), so a little warm water is all I use. If out, and water is unavailable, then some saliva will do the trick.

How many times do you use it before you chuck it in the wash? Use once, then straight into the nappy bucket. I dont want to risk bacteria fermenting.

I use face washers (little ones you buy in a pack of 10-odd from Big W in the baby section) and I use either a squirt of sorbolene (sp?) or some warm water. They then go straight into the nappy bucket. I store them in a drawer of my change table.

Thanks for your replies. It all makes sense. I just can't believe that I didn't know what to do with them. :o

It's ok. That kind of information is not all over the place.
Its always better to ask! :)

I'm currently sitting here cutting fleece liners. :)
