5m/o Sleeps ?

How often does a 5 months old need to sleep in the day ??

My DD usually wakes round 6-7am and is back down by 9am for 30 min-1 hr and then has a 2nd sleep roughly 2pm till 4pm - 2 hrs...

Is 3 hours enough in a day for a 5 month old ?? Doesnt seam alot to me but thats when she wakes :o

She usually goes to bed at about 9pm and wakes between 6-7am.

Yes I think 3 hours is plenty. Some babies sleep much more, but I found that anymore than that and DD wouldn't sleep well at night.

Ahh thats good then, Must say Im lucky once she's down she's usually down all night :D

i'm no expert but i would have said no... but at least she is sleeping all night.. if she starts getting cranky in arvo that could be the reason.. do what works for you..

my ds2 is up at around 7am, back to sleep 8.30-9 until around 10.30-11, back in bed around 1pm til around 3ish then often has another catnap in late arvo before dinner to get him til 7pm bedtime. he is onl;y ever up for two hours at a time. i suppose he would have about 3.5-4.5 hours during day and up to 12 hours at night... he loves sleep though

You all are so lucky!!! My DD is 5.5 months old and sleeps from about 6pm- maybe 4am, has been waking up during the night though, and has about 2 x 20 min naps during the day! She is so tired come 5pm, and she used to sleep alot more than this. Controlled crying does not work anymore, she will go on for an hour. It may be because she is teething .... you guys are quite lucky LOL
