any one else got tips for the night wakings at times like midnight,2am,4am etc. i have got ds to bed anywhere between 7pm and 8:30pm it all depends on the day and how much the bath relaxes him. he has a bottle before bed and goes to sleep. but he wakes up later on. what should i do coz he will think its playtime at 4am!lol

I've had a problem with nightwakings for about the last month. DD is 19 months and about a month ago she caught a severe virus - she was sick for about 2 weeks and was hospitalised for a few days on a drip. This completely stuf*ed up her previously perfect sleeping :(
After she got better she continued to wake up at 2am on the dot, every night, wanting to either get up and play, or come to bed with me as I had been doing when she was ill.
The more I gave into bringing her to bed the worse she got, and she was waking up more and more alert at night.
About two weeks ago I took a mattress into her room and put it on the floor beside her cot. When she woke up I went in there to lay down next to her. I soothed her with my voice, didn't pick her up or turn on any lights. Sometimes it took her an hour or more but she got bored and went to sleep. After about a week of this she stopped waking and I'm happy to say she hasn't woken up for 5 nights now so hoping we're finally back to normal :fingerscrossed:
Good luck, I think you have to just pick a plan and stick to it no matter what.

I have had the same problem with my 18 mth old DD. But since I bought her a big girl bed I no longer have the problem. She was waking every night around midnight and screaming and crying until I went in and got her. Every time I would leave the room she would start all over again. I tried letting her cry it out, tried rocking her tried laying down beside the cot but nothing worked. THe only thing that worked was putting her in bed with us and getting her back to sleep. I would then put her back in her own cot and she would wake up and it would start all over again. After a few weeks it started to take it's toll as I work full time. Someone suggested buying a bed for her and making a big fuss over it. I haven't looked back. SHe loves her new bed and sleeps all night:D
