brisbane or gold coast restaurants

does anyone know anywhere where we could have a sit down meal...that would cater for around 26 adults and 7 children...just a meal...and drinks...not an actual reception as such.

We had our reception at venice cafe bar near the marriott hotel in brisbane city - on the river just up from where the markets are. it was beautiful and intimate we booked the whole place out for about 50 odd people but you can just hire the inside or stay mum about it being a wedding and just book a table for 25 the food was wonderful, we did a menue and people could choose from 2 options for entree, main and desert but if you just book a table then you can just order from their menu on the day they had no probs catering to vegetarian, glucose intollerance and for kids too.
I have been back a few times for a meal too and haven't ever been dissapointed in the food, service and atmosphere.:smiliedance:

most places (if they have the room) will you just need to make a booking so they know they will have to cater for you

I have been too a few gorgeous celebrations at sassafras in Paddingtone, Brisbane. They have a gorgeous courtyard that you can book exclusively.
